She's leaving FL to head back to her home state as a weekend met for WISH-TV. That's gonna be a big climate shock after being accustomed to FL weather for so long.

For those who have DirecTV, if you don't mind entertaining an ignorant question, What is the difference between say, Cartoon Network (East) and Cartoon Network (West) for example. Is it related to time zones where the east is for Eastern time and the West is for Western time?

Yes.  This is the case with U-Verse too.  In most cases, you'll notice that the West channel plays exactly the same shows, commercials, etc. as the East channel but is four hours behind.  So essentially, it's on a four-hour delay for West Coast viewers. Makes it nice when you miss a show on the East channel but can catch it again on the West channel. :P

Cool, Thanks! :)

Looks like I'll have to change my TV provider tag to DirecTV in my profile going into 2015 very soon... :whistling: One month has passed since saying goodbye to Crapcast.  :harhar:

And, soon enough, you'll have to change your TV provider tag from DirecTV to AT&T, assuming that AT&T acquires DirecTV. :P

I remember hearing that rumor several months back. Is that still a possibility? :dunno: Going on the U-Verse site they do have packages affiliated with DTV so I guess a partnership/merger is already happening.

Also I don't really think anyone here would know the answer, but I'll ask anyway just in case. Why is it that cable companies like Comcast seem to charge so much more for so little (in channels that is) compared to satellite companies like DirecTV? I compared package offers from both of those companies and Comcast's offers are very insulting when compared to DirecTV.

I wonder if she was effected by CNN's recent massive layoffs?

She was still there? I thought she had already left a long time ago, but then again I don't watch CNN so I wouldn't have known either way.

Also nothing against Alex, but I'm still not comprehending how it makes financial sense to keep hiring OCMs that are randomly floating around from show to show or worse yet they keep gutting live programming more and more every year so there's hardly anywhere to place them to begin with. There are OCMs that are barely being seen as it is already. I just really don't understand how this makes logical or common sense.

1. Versatile Flavor Line ups again, the LFs can remain 1 minute long, but it would be nice to see some of the climate/almanac data you see on the side LDL (if you have the IS2) show up in the LF again. That's all I ask.

To save money I would assume. When it comes to STARs, they would only have to worry about maintaining the IS2 rather than the IS/IS2 together on different feeds. That's just my guess though.

BUMP!

I was going to start a new thread about songs you wish you could hear on TWC right now, but I changed my mind. It's a bit unorthodox since these are jazzy re-arrangements of themes from a video game, but I think these would have fit in perfectly with other smooth jazz song selections in past playlists. The name of the 2 disc album it's from is simply called "Super Mario World"

Here's some examples...
Peaceful Mushroom World
Super Mario World [CD01 // #10] - Peaceful Kinoko-World

Super Mario World [CD01 // #02] - Super Mario World

Shining Coral
Super Mario World [CD01 // #07] - Shining Coral

Just reached above the freezing mark today...34°F (Feels like 23°)

If we fail to rise above 37 today, we will break the record low maximum temperature for November 18th set back in 2000. We also have a shot at tying/breaking the record low of 18° tonight set back in 1903! :thrilled:
