My best attempt, I haven't attempted to recreate this STAR since November 2009

Programs Used - Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 (Mainly for the Lens Flare effect/Ad Crawl/LDL which the latter two are not seen in this video.

Mircosoft Powerpoint 2010 (The XL itself)

I saved 15% by switching to Geico then "Mayhem" came and set fire imp. To say he wasn't happy is an understatement.

I always thought of them more as having a brother/sister relationship. Now I'm all turned upside down that she sees him as a "husband".

I don't understand why this is such a huge deal. You guys act like you're the only ones that watch the channel. I'm bored with the put me to sleep music all the time. The fact is you apparently think you're the only ones that matter and reality is the AVERAGE viewer listens to today's music. So instead of falling asleep while they watch their local forecast, they'd rather listen to the stuff they hear on the radio. Don't bother jumping down my throat. :censored:

I halfway agree with you. I don't really care about the music changing the way it has, it hasn't stopped me from looking at the LF whenever I want to, in fact I have liked some of the songs I've heard (vocal/non vocal) but it could have been a compromise of all types of genres of music on the playlist. I don't think they really had to shunt out smooth jazz and new age completely, they could have chosen to keep a handful of them mixed in with the other music they're playing now.

I didn't mention this earlier, but do they seriously have a rating system for music, like Nielsen Rating type of ratings? If so who does that? Do they sit there going through charts and graphs and say, "Uh oh, the smooth jazz selection is slipping by a quarter percent this month, it's time to put it on hiatis and bring in a midquarter replacement of Linkin Park, Beyonce, and Adele."

General Discussion / Re: My Scripted Series

The following episode are being skipped for now

Episode 7: Be My Valentines (V-Day has long well passed, but besides that I need to edit/revise it again)
Episode 8: Comin' Out - I can't find my written script so I can type it! :( It's in one of my notebooks of written scripts somewhere...
Episode 9: 30 Going On Uh…Well 30 (Revision needed; made some changes for the main plot that I haven't typed yet.)

In the meantime, attached below is...

Episode 10: The Stoop-id Man Who Made a Racist Comment

Episode Synopsis: When Chief Dale announces he's going on vacation and has picked someone to temporarily take his place, Daniel is more than sure that it will be him, but he gets the shock of his life when Dale picks Jeremy over him. Daniel believes Jeremy undermined him to get the temporary position. Daniel unknowingly makes a comment from a joke he heard on FOX news that leads to his co-workers believing he’s a racist. The joke in return could ultimately ruin his 20 year friendship with his best friend Jeremy so Daniel does what he can to do damage control on repeating the regretful joke.

What amuses me is that TWC released smooth jazz CDs and mentioned that "people look forward to new music selections every month." I don't understand how that suddenly changed in just 4 years, and I know for a fact that it has not! Also, TWC used to LISTEN to viewers (i.e. what happened on 5/7/07). I see more complains about the current selection today than five years ago, yet they do not listen. Look, they even said it in the email Scott Windham on the other topic... "we are looking for new selections that WE want to play. Um, it's not about what you think Scott, it's about us. <_<

There are also music artists such as Chris Geith, Patrick Yandall, and Vincent Ingala who do not appreciate the new selection. I think they should get a little more support since the market is terribly slow now. A few smooth jazz songs like in 2009 will NOT hurt ratings. I even pointed this out to the whole press team, and they seem like they do not even want to think about that. Well, screw you too then. <_<

Well there's one difference between 5 years ago and now and that's management from top to bottom. Sure back then they may have taken those things into consideration, but now it feels like, "Hey were all about nothing but changes with everything on our network so you're either with us or not."

I noticed on the left side when you click on the today tab they have that TruPoint forecast  letting you know how the weather will be over a period of about 6 hours. Right now for my area it says occasional thunderstorms expected around 11:00am. I don't believe that, but I'll test it to see how "accurate" it'll be.

I don't get why they feel the need to watermark the graphics. It's like another one of those unexplained mysteries I'll never understand with them. :dunno:
In reality, everyone does it. It's to make sure if someone uses it, they always know where and who it came from (like other NBC stations). They don't send over lower thirds, just the graphics usually and that may be one of their Max shows that had the logo on it and instead of using the one without it, they made the mistake. Just my assumption.

Ah, I guess I didn't really think of it that way.

Does this look kinda VCR Quality like? I wanted to go a few steps further and give the "illusion" that someone was taping this off of a TV, but meh it started to look less realistic than this. This video was up before with music from Norman Brown called "Love's Holiday", but unfortunately the song blocks the video in certain countries. I don't mind having tagged videos (at a certain limit) but I can't have those kind of copyrighted videos on my account they raise a red flag (literally) I've had that problem twice this year and was able to fix it by removing those type of videos.

There was a huge house fire right up the street from where I live this past Friday. I went outside to see if I could see the fire, but I couldn't see anything but thick smoke hazing up the sky. At first I thought it was a Brush fire which made me a little nervous. I didn't realize just how close the house fire was until I heard helicopters flying overhead and it was breaking news on one of our local news channels here. Luckily in that case no one was at home from what I heard.
