Programming and Graphics / Re: 2012 Hurricane Season Grpahics

They keep getting worse year after year now. Since they went HD, 2009 is the only Hurricane Season graphics I liked. 2008 and 2010 were OK, 2011 was nothing but a botched ripoff of 2010. Those weird triangle shapes they're using this year look unattractive.

Wow, I thought Dr. Knabb was gone already, considering Bryan Norcross did all of the updates on Beryl (from the time I watched TWC).

Knabb was on yesterday morning then Norcross came in during the evening.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that during WCL (7pm onward) will have extended coverage. (Limited LFs; squeezeback on all LFs except the ones at 28/58 past.) Maybe even go commercial free for a brief time period when Beryl makes landfall.

Who hasn't been to Florida?!

I've only been to FL once back in July 2006, I went to Orlando (Disneyworld) but, we stayed in Daytona Beach.

Hurricane Central / Re: Subtropical Storm Beryl

Beryl has completed her transition to a tropical storm, winds are up to 65mph also. (She's getting stronger than I anticipated.)

EDIT: I don't think a brief brush at 75mph Cat 1 hurricane intensity is out of the question now.

What's new from yesterday

Redid the Orange titlebar
Finished the Extended Forecast Templates
Finished Latest Observations Page
Tweaked the fonts some (shadowing for example)

Although not mentioned in the video, Heat Indices of up to 100 degrees is expected in the region and some areas are already on their way to tying or breaking record highs.

Song: Trammell Starks - In The Summer (I don't know what the other name of this song is though)

HOT as HELL in Indiana! (Heat Advisory and Record Highs In Jeopardy)

Speaking of Air Quality, would an AQ alert show up on the 4000 as a weather bulletin? I'm guessing no since it doesn't show up on the IS.

Looks like Beryl has gotten it's act together since last night. Probably too late to make much of a difference strength wise.

I feel so sheltered.  :cry3:  :P I haven't been anywhere outside of the South except NJ, but I was only 3 so I virtually I have no memory of that family vacation besides a few pictures, but I included it since I technically have been there.

C'mon hit 94 so we can tie this record high already! :club:

87, fair skies. There is no doubt we'll hit 90 today.

A record high is also in jeopardy. If we hit or surpass 94 degrees today, we will tie/break the record high set back in 1936! I think we have a good chance at tying it.

EDIT: AS OF 1:08PM ET.

I kinda agree with what  I heard Dr. Knabb say earlier, Beryl doesn't seem like it'll be a big rainmaker right about now unfortunately.

Well, Subtropical Storm Beryl actually.

:offtopic: But I gotta say it, Beryl is such an outdated name.
