BUMP

I guess my mind isn't as shot as I make it out to be. I knew I remember there being a thread like this, I just didn't realize it was this old.

These are games I own/play by myself, w/ my niece, or anyone in general on my Wii U console. I think it's VERY clear from the list where my bias is (

), but honestly I enjoy playing just about any genre of gaming as long as it's fun and enjoyable. It doesn't take much to impress me.

Congrats to Sam! I knew there was a reason she was showing up a lot filling in for the Chief Chris Holcomb the past month or so. I'm glad to hear I'll get to see her a lot more often. She, along with Julie Martin are a great addition to their weather team.

Yes I did, I forgot to mention that in my post. I really like wunderground's website logo and I thought it would be cool if TWC had something similar. My logo mocks will never come to fruition, but then again who knows, from my understanding TWC/Wunderground still have a partnership with eachother.

It's been almost 10 years since the current version of TWC's logo made it's debut (August 2005). I think it's time for a extreme makeover.

My first attempt at Regional/Metro Maps (WSXL v2)

Regional Map

The metro map isn't as great as I would have liked, but I did the best I could do with what I had. (which was very little and limited) I redrew the interstate lines with the pen tool in AE and the map itself is the FFC (Peachtree City, GA) radar map from noaa.gov which I heavily modified to make it look more greenish. I also had to leave Marietta off the metro map because it would have been blocked by the banner/TWC logo.

Local Forecast / Re: IntelliSTAR units to be retired this October...???

First, let me say I'm not the least bit surprised to hear about this. It seemed like a foreshadowing of what was to come considering all legacy STAR units were required to be retired/decommissioned last year. Technically, the IntelliSTAR is a legacy STAR also because of longevity. It makes sense to start moving on to something more updated across the board (technology wise).

Also regarding Weatherscan, it's either going bye-bye or they'll probably just leave it alone since they obviously have slim to zero interest in it right now anyway.

I would have been among you guys in graduating this month, but unfortunately I countered a minor setback on the financial side (don't wanna talk about it, it makes me furious thinking about it). At least I got it straightened out, however I have to wait until the fall to graduate.

Post graduation, I can't wait to start building a career in graphic design!

Never satisfied apparently, I settled on another design style. No more last minute changes, I'm about 100% positive the second and fourth designs will be the final look.

Also, this won't have any impact in delaying my progress, everything is still on track.
