After seeing an animated intro for TS Debby, the graphics have slowly grown on me in that respect. They still have done better in the past though.

I'm pretty sure it's a national issue now, I'm not getting an ID number or Xfinity logo either.

EDIT: This is how the other Station ID looks for those who haven't seen it btw. Turns out I kinda over exaggerated about the clouds, but in my defense I had another sleepless night and I first saw it around 4:57 in the morning. :P

I think we may see another 106 narration on my IntelliStar, just like last year.

TWC - Memphis IntelliStar- Dangerously Hot Temperatures

I've stopped filming, and essentially watching, TWC; but if the temperature gets over 100, I'll be sure to pull out the PVR.

Me too, I've never gotten a recording of triple digit heat on the IS before. Hopefully my Hauppauge HD PVR will be here before week's end, if not I'll just have to use my old tuner. Also, wow at that 106 temp in the video. Even more amazing it was only turning 2 o' clock in the afternoon! It was just reaching the peak of daytime heating! :o

EDIT: This is what the HPC is forecasting for Friday.

I talked about this in the Atlanta, GA weather thread, but if you live along the South/Central Plains and the Southeast, get ready to start preparing for this. :o

From the HPC
LOCATIONS FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS ACROSS THE MID-SOUTH/TENNESSEE
VALLEY INTO THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES AND CAROLINAS ARE EXPECTED TO
BAKE...SIZZLE...AND FRY THIS PERIOD DUE TO A BURGEONING WARM CORE
RIDGE BUILDING ACROSS THE REGION.  THE 00Z ECMWF WAS THE HOTTEST
OF THE CURRENT GUIDANCE...WITH ITS ENSEMBLE MEAN EQUALLY
IMPRESSIVE.
TO ACCOUNT FOR TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES...WE FOLLOWED
A COMPROMISE OF THE 00Z GEFS MEAN AND 00Z ECMWF. TEMPERATURES AT
THE 850 HPA LEVEL ARE EXPECTED TO BE NEAR 27C/82F...WHICH WOULD
EQUATE TO TEMPERATURES APPROACHING 110F EACH AFTERNOON.
IF DEBBY
DEPARTS FASTER THAN THE NHC FORECAST /OR REMAINS A STRONGER SYSTEM
THAN CURRENTLY ANTICIPATED/ ALONG THE LINES OF THE NON-UKMET
DETERMINISTIC GUIDANCE...HIGH TEMPERATURES COULD BE EVEN MORE
IMPRESSIVE IN ITS WAKE ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST AND MID-SOUTH.

There was another new Station ID I saw on TWCHD this morning of a beach and a small boat sitting idle out in the water with cumulonimbus clouds overhead a blue sky.

The problem with just going with TWC is it also short for Time Warner Cable.

That would be one valid reason to go against a logo change like that.

Everything Else TWC / Re: New weather.com design: April 2012

Apparently, TWC provides a separate forecast for national holidays that are within the 10 day forecasting range. Right under 10 Day, 4th of July is displayed.

HEATWAVE ALERT: TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT POSSIBLE FOR NORTH GEORGIA; RECORD HIGHS IN JEOPARDY

TIMELINE: THU-MON (JUNE 28 - JULY 2)
FIRST TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT POSSIBLE FOR ATLANTA SINCE AUGUST 2007!

The GFS/CMC/ECMWF are in good agreement of the HOTTEST temperatures so far this summer moving into our area beginning later this week into the weekend. I'm posting the 00z GFS as examples of some of the temperatures we could experience.

TWC loves to tease us. They might as well just put 100 in the forecast during that period and get it out of the way. (Attachment below)

I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen so much severe weather reports in a single state just from a tropical storm. It's been pretty crazy in the Sunshine State today.

I heard "The Only One" for the first time today, I like it. It's one of the few vocal songs I like on this playlist.

You're not alone, I wouldn't know who she was either if it wasn't for that slipup.
