General Weather Chat / Re: What's the weather in your area?

Florida is the cool spot in the South and it's not even really that cool.  :P

It's up to 94 degrees now, I'm getting a little skeptical about us reaching 105 as TWC is forecasting, but I think we will break our record high of 101 today. I'm thinking we'll hit 102 for a high today.

EDIT: LOL 96 already, were running about 6-10 degrees warmer right now than we were this time yesterday.

91°F Sunny

Let's take a look at Washington, DC right now shall we...
99°F Mostly Cloudy  :wow: What really has me gasping is the fact that 's mostly cloudy there, it's not even noon yet and they still manage to be within a degree of 100 degrees, but here it's completely sunny, not a cloud in sight and were only 91. They must of started off this morning in the low 80s or something.

There's a third new ID of a swimming pool and a pool floater. Saw it a half an hour ago.

EDIT: I was able to catch the Code Red on the AQ forecast this morning.

Yes, exactly. It was issued yesterday at 5 PM CT until sunset. It had already switched to today.

Oh ok, well that explains it then. In my case it's in effect for tomorrow so I should be able to catch it. The problem is I don't know from memory what LFs show the AQ forecast since they reduced the flavors. Hopefully tomorrow I'll catch it then (I didn't see it show up during the 4pm hour of WCL) so I'm guessing that must mean their on 2 min. flavors now. :dunno:

I tried to record the Code Purple yesterday, but the IS had already switched over to the next day ;(

Was it in effect for Wednesday and it had already switched over to Thursday's AQF? If so, it must of have been after 4pm ET when you tried to catch it, that's usually when the forecast products update to the following day.

I'm under a CODE RED Air Quality Alert now for tomorrow. I'll see if it shows up on the LF this evening because I've also have never seen a code red on the current IS before.

I feel incredibly stupid for not noticing this sooner, but I never realized there's a fade in/out transition on the time shown on the HD LF. I noticed it for the first time yesterday while doing a test video recording on my HD PVR.
