Most of my recent work went into tweaking the background's color temperature, softening (blurring) the background and adjusting the brightness, contrast, and saturation.

ISv1.5 Emulation

Better color quality version - not as blueish, this is how it should actually look when the file is unedited

Here's Alexandra Steele (now at CNN for any of you that don't know) explaining what a derecho is!

Meteorologist explains what a derecho is

She must be still at freelancing status with them because a few months ago I didn't see her name listed on their website and I still don't today. (Just pull down the weather tab)

General Weather Chat / Re: What's the weather in your area?

A very humid and muggy night tonight, partially to blame because of heavy tropical downpours along with plenty of lightning/thunder late this afternoon. Some areas north of us picked up between 2-4 inches of rain today! :o FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT.

What If...?

What if the previous graphical version of the IntelliStar had of still existed in March 2010 and gotten the new IntelliStar icons update? Probably something like this: AWESOME! They look better with this design imo.

Wow guess I was long. Though I don't think it will last long

"The eleventh hour has come and gone and, unfortunately, the unthinkable has happened.

You can only keep screwin' around with cable/satellite companies on these blackout situations for so long before they can show them better than they can tell them. It might like seem like it to some of the costumers I'm sure are pissed, but DirectTV obviously cares about their subscribers if they're willing to go as far as eliminating those channels just to prevent passing the rate increases from Viacom to their subscribers. Comcast wouldn't give a damn about passing on the rate increase if it was them in this type of situation. <_<

I bought a bag of ice for my grandma since her refrigerator has gone to  :censored: She's having a new one delivered by Friday.

EDIT: It was 1.89 at the Chevron gas station I got it from.

93°F Mostly cloudy

So much for the rain and cold front.  It's like we're in the eye of a hurricane; the rain has just been circling around us. <_<

Join the club.

Stupid outflow boundaries keep setting up too far north and too far east, screwin' us over.

This was a programming guide error right?
Yes, that's an error.  Al Roker is not a meteorologist  <_<

I know you're being sarcastic, but I hope you know what I meant was the error was the fact that WUWA was showing up as airing at 11am.

Local Forecast / Re: July 2012 Playlist
« on: July 09, 2012, 03:05:34 PM »
The holidays are indeed very far, but they I expect vocal holiday music with maybe a few traditional annual songs thrown in the mix.

That would be the lousiest Christmas ever, TWC-wise of course. It would be a real travesty. I'm generally not a fan of vocal music even for Christmas, with a few exceptions. They need a Christmas list like they had in 2010. 2011's list was subpar. However, there is still hope. After all, as late as September of last year the very existence of a Christmas playlist was questionable, given the L-bar situation, but they got rid of the L-bars before Christmastime rolled around. So there is time for improvement, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Subpar? I thought both were fairly great. I actually liked the 2011 list better than the 2010 one.
