I don't know if this one is known about yet, but Poughkeepsie, NY has an IS2 (skip to the LDL cueing in at 1:18 or just look at the video screenshot it shows up there)
I don't know if the IS2 itself shows up in this video because I haven't watched the whole video.

I wish the user would lower the price. :/

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NORTHERN-TELECOM-NORTEL-WEATHER-STAR-4000-WEATHER-CHANNEL-FORECAST-BROADCASTER-/330766154126?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d0332f98e#ht_7183wt_1270
The STAR 4000 is just a mere paperweight unless you have an uplink via C/Ku band satellite to TWC's analog feed, since it downloads everything through satellite (including the graphics). So be aware of that before you buy the unit and attempt to operate it.

EDIT: I will say, that 4000 is overpriced. A headend could probably buy a refurbished STAR XL or IntelliStar directly from TWC for less than that.

Maybe he wants the extra money to pay some bills. :P As much as I would like to have a 4000, I wouldn't know the slightest first thing to do with it, it would just be a pile of dust sitting in my room.

EDIT: Is all FOX O&O stations in partnership with Accuweather also? I noticed last month or the month before our is. I noticed from that link it says it's coming this summer. So I'm basically going to have two Accuweather channels here? :dunno:

Another EDIT: Heh, I thought Atlanta was ranked #8 out of the top 10, not #9

Anyone ever tried that interactive transcript from YT out of curiosity? I tested it on a random video of mine and it's pretty godawfully terrible. It doesn't read words in the videos all that accurately. I would say about 50% right on and 50% WTH did it get these wacky words from? :P The two examples below were the worst ones imp.

0:29 our local coupler radar

It also read Forsyth (A county in GA) as "For site"

Mine is similar to Buckeye, but I would also include Kelly Cass and Dr. Forbes onto my list. Everyone else I either can't stand anymore or never liked to begin with.

1. Jim Cantore (favorite male OCM)
2. Vivian Brown (favorite female OCM)
3. Mike Seidel
4. Kelly Cass
5. Paul Goodloe
6. Dr. Forbes
7. Nick Walker

Honorable Mentions
Todd Santos (He doesn't stumble as much as he used to so I'll cut him some slack for that and he seems a little more laid back now)
Heather Tesch
Mike Bettes

Everything Else TWC / Re: Drought 2012

Most of this summer (2012 in general) has been the same here, but July has been VERY wet. I've gotten torrential downpours about every day or every other day for the past few weeks, it's also been very cloudy, foggy and hazy just about every morning for over a week. This might be the first month in who knows how long I'll actually most likely see more than the monthly average in rainfall. Even with that though it's not enough to combat the severe drought were in right now. :( I hope this rainy pattern continues into August and the end of the year especially if an El Nino does indeed develop and intensify.

They stopped using it for a while since they went HD back in 2006, they only started recently using it again this year that I'm aware of.

Good thing there were storms around today which is the only reason I thought to turn onto that channel. I didn't know she was on this morning. I don't know if you noticed, but that forecast was from 7:30 this morning, you would think they wouldn't go nearly 11 hours before updating it again. I wonder if she'll be on tomorrow morning, she wasn't on tonight, the regular weekend met Chris Holcomb was on. :hmm:

I saw her today on our Accuweather/W-I-Z TV channel (Formally NBC WeatherPlus)

Samantha Mohr (Accuweather W-I-Z TV Channel) 7/21/2012

No smooth jazz but I'll definitely take Samantha over that any day. Heck yeah :D Glad to see her on there

They don't play any music period or audio for that matter when they show the local radar loop, it's dead silent until they reloop all that Accuweather/Local Weather Forecast stuff back over 15 minutes or so later. I wish they would play some kind music on there because it seems really awkward to be mute like that, but then again maybe 12 years of hearing music during a LF on TWC has made me way too accustomed to expecting it on other channels. :P

I don't get mad when we trade 100s and dry heat for low 80s and 70+ DPs with tropical heat. :itsok:

I don't know about as worst as the Dust Bowl, but I have heard the nation as a whole this is the worst drought since the 1950s.
