Kayla appears to be a regular on First Outlook. She was on with Alex Wednesday and Thursday.
She's not doing the whole week though.
They should just make it M-F instead of half of the week.

I guess they're still testing her out for that timeslot before they commit to making it a whole week.

Winter Weather / Re: 2012-2013 Winter Outlook
« on: August 15, 2012, 11:29:33 PM »
The only region I think they nailed right last winter was the Southeast. The most disappointing winter since 2006-2007 since that's the last winter where we saw NO measurable snowfall. Only snow showers/flurries about 2-3 days the entire 2011-2012 winter. :(

About the only thing I feel confident about so far for this winter. I'll work on a full outlook in November.

Winter Weather / 2012-2013 Winter Outlook

I know it's rather early still, but since it won't be but about another month or so for most weather sites to release their Winter outlooks. I figured I would start this now since Accuweather seems to be one of the earliest ones to release one. It may have been just luck but they did nail the prediction for the Southeast Region. I don't know how they verified for other regions.

I might also post a Winter Outlook, but it will be regional for now. I might work on one nationally also.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

I think my first day of 7th grade was on the same day. I remember seeing the new logo and thinking Why did they ruin their signature logo by making it bland and boring? Now, my opinion hasn't changed, I'm just more in content with it.  :itsok:

EDIT: I did like the Lot8s openers/relaunch promos along with a couple of show openers like Day planner, they had the best show graphics and theme music imo.

Local Forecast / Re: August 2012 Playlist
« on: August 14, 2012, 01:10:39 PM »
Best (from what I've heard)
Moby DUH!  :P
"Sunrise" by Norah Jones
"When It's Over" by Sugar Ray
7and5
A few songs from the morning playlist I have no idea what the heck the names of them are.

Most of the ones I like are from the morning hours because that's when I watch TWC the most if I'm home then.
Outside of Moby, I don't know what songs play in the primetime hours.

Worst
Lynn Patrick - I just can't get into this lady's music. (There's only one specific song I liked of hers from the May 2010 overnight list)
Frank Sinatra - I'm open to all kinds of music on the LFs now, but this seriously feels WAY out of place.

General Weather Chat / Re: What's the weather in your area?

70, Drizzle

We picked up about a half an inch of rain since 5am this morning. Only a drop in the bucket as far as this drought is concerned. We need at least 9-12 inches to get rid of this drought were in. :(

What does the aspect ratio of the video have to do with the quality of the video? :dunno: You can do that, but it doesn't make it HD. It's just a stretched out SD video.

Last night I lightened up the blue template used to display text on the 4000. To me, it looks better than it did before.

You probably are missing something because you should be able to trim it just fine and keep it HD. If you want pure HD quality then why not just upload the raw file first then use the Youtube editor?

This wouldn't be the best advice for someone like me who has a snail paced internet connection. I've uploaded raw files a few times and that's the reason I don't do them often. It takes way too long, I start to get impatient if I'm uploading a 200mb file for example and I come back a few hours later and it still has a ways to go.
