TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Comcast/Xfinity
« on: September 28, 2012, 06:56:30 AM »Xfinity isn't a Cable company, it's just a brand name Comcast was using for their On Demand Service. (and branched out such as with their equipment/trucks whatnot) The company name overall is still Comcast.Incorrect. Xfinity is the "brand" name they are utilizing for their consumer phone, internet, TV, and home security services. Business services are still utilized under the Comcast name. The company as a whole still exists.
I didn't (and should have) mentioned about the phone/internet services, but I don't see how everything else I said was incorrect. Everything I did mention has been re-branded as Xfinity and as we both said the company overall is still Comcast.
On a side note, I actually didn't know they offer a home security service. Man, I feel sorry for the sucker who relies on them for Home Security. They might as well leave a key for the burglar outside the door and a note that says, "Take whatever you want, there's also cookies on the dining room table if you want em too."

If I could only pick one jazzy song to play during all of this mainstream stuff, I would definitely pick this one.

Ahh, it feels so good to be back here again.
TWC has us very close to a record low of 45 set back in 1982, they're forecasting 47 tomorrow night. The only problem is they seem to be the most aggressive on tomorrow night's low. NWS is saying 49.

I just went through some scheduled recordings I set while I slept (trying to get that Eric Clapton song) and apparently new Autumn Station IDs debuted. (4:58 and 5:58am respectfully)
-First is of a backyard with rain falling and raindrops dripping off of an awning.

-Second is of a creek or stream with orange leaves banked up against rocks.

EDIT: Screenshots if you don't want to download the attachments.

Would love to hear if there was an instrumental version to this song. Can someone let me know if this video really is blocked in the US before I take it down?
Yep, it's blocked by UMG under copyright grounds when i try to view it.
Alright, thank you for letting me know. I wanted to make sure before I removed it.

Anybody wanna take a crack at telling me why it's important to mention about an ongoing drought for two out of the ten days on the forecast as if the drought will magically end after the second day?
I could see if it's mentioned ALL ten days, but it's not. What's so special about those two days?

Programming and Graphics / Re: New Shows: "Pyros," "Iceberg Hunters" and "Reefmakers.
« on: September 18, 2012, 10:21:41 PM »Iceberg Hunters premiered tonight and for me it is so boring.
If this show gets decent ratings I'll be surprised.
To be fair, the show's name strongly suggested it would be boring.
Key Legend
RED = Subtle Sarcasm.
In all seriousness, they could have came up with a more appealing name to fool us into thinking it's interesting.
