TWC obviously LOVED them some Trammell  back during the 1996 Blizzard. They played "Evening/Pier 32" at the end of one of their live segment in this video. (10:55) It was kinda weird hearing it being played as bumper music.

I was listening to my new age station on Pandora this morning, and it was playing a song by Yanni. While listening to the song, I couldn't help but notice how much it sounded like another new age song I knew. It took a few minutes, but it finally hit me. It sounds a lot like Ryan Farish's "Sunshine In The Rain." Listen to clips of the two songs below and tell me I'm not crazy.

Judging from the release dates, I'd say Yanni owes Ryan some dough! :o

Eh, I can kinda hear the resemblance at the beginning of both samples, but I think there's just enough difference to avoid anything as extreme as legal action.

This week (and part of last week also) we've been working in Adobe Illustrator in my Intro Design/Media Production Class. We had to do this flower drawing assignment today. I think it came out OK for a first timer like me using Illustrator, what do you guys think? :dunno: My teacher from that class thought it looked good while I was working on it so as long as she thinks it's good I guess that's all that matters.  :P

Btw, that Pen tool was such a pain in the butt to use for the first time. <_<

I'm great at mental math, but if she was nervous like she said she was (and I'm pretty sure she was) your brain can flake out on you. That happens to me when I get nervous or anxious which is why I HATE taking tests. I also have a bad habit of second guessing right answers.

Because people don't have better things to do in their spare time: http://news.cnet.com/8301-10797_3-57528398-235/peta-wages-war-on-pokemon-for-virtual-animal-cruelty/

They seriously DON'T have anything better to do. That's the same pathetic fight they brought up about Mario wearing Tonooki(sp?) suits as a power up a couple of years ago which is strange itself because they didn't seem to put much emphasis on the fact that he wore frog, racoon, and penguin suits also.  <_<

61, Cloudy.

The coldest it's been so far this fall during the day. It feels much colder with the occasional NE wind.

Is Dish in the middle of another one of those stupid contract disputes? I've been seeing commercials on TV about certain TV shows/channels not being available on Dish. One of the most recent cases I saw was with our NBC affiliate and sister station MyAtlTV where they were saying subscribers to Dish should call in by midnight last night if they didn't want to lose those channels.
When disputes happen between providers and local channels, it's usually the owner of the channel that causes the blackout to occur, not the channel itself.

Ok, that makes sense because I've only seen about four channels advertising themselves as not being available on Dish anymore such as AMC (saw a Walking Dead Promo on FOX where they mentioned it) WeTV, and another channel I can't remember right now along with the two I already mentioned which made me curious to ask.

EDIT: Cable has it's problems, but I'm actually kinda glad I don't have Satellite service so I don't have to be bothered with that B.S every year.

I remember seeing Danielle solo on WV at 6 this morning, so I'm assuming not only did she host that from 5-7, but she probably did SW solo at 4:30 this morning also.

Heh, they're ones to talk. Who was it again that implemented a 25 Day Forecast:whistling: Accuweather is just mad because The Weather Channel beat them to the punch.

Bunch of hypocrites.  <_<

Happy Birthday Matt! :)

The more I think about it they probably should test this only on blizzards/icestorms first if there any this winter and see how that goes before broadening it out to overall winter storms.

Again, the idea of naming Winter Storms overall is not that bad. There are NWS offices (NWS Buffalo) and local news stations (I've heard Minneapolis and parts of CT do this) that have been doing this for years, the thing is they're local, the key word here. What they're planning to do is certainly going to be much more challenging since they're focusing on the entire regions of the nation.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Jeff Morrow leaves TWC

I would say I'm sad to see him leave TWC, but given the hallow shell the network is I'm not, he's better off somewhere better. He was a great OCM along with Vivian, Mike, and Jim and I wish him the best of luck in where ever he chooses to continue doing meteorology or if he chooses to do something else with his career.
