You wanna know what's unnecessary? Why do they have another Hurricane expert? :dunno: I think his name was Michael something I saw him last night.

If they do the talk show format the way they did it for Weekend View, it's not a bad idea to me. I used to like that homely feel WV had.

Also I'm pretty sure YWT is Morning Rush, which imo is a better name, I never really liked the name YWT.

Wow, it's amazing that we've gone through the entire list this year except for two names. I doubt anyone's forecast (including mine) came close to what happened this year, but then again El Nino was expected to be here by now and it's not, it's virtually in a comatose state.

Two disturbances to watch...

Quote
1. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN INCREASING OVER THE PAST FEW
HOURS NEAR A TROPICAL WAVE AND BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE
CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA.  ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS APPEAR CONDUCIVE
FOR A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO FORM DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...
AND THIS SYSTEM HAS A HIGH CHANCE...70 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A
TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES SLOWLY
WESTWARD.  HEAVY RAINS FROM THIS DISTURBANCE ARE LIKELY TO SPREAD
OVER JAMAICA...EASTERN CUBA...AND HISPANIOLA OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
DAYS.  THESE RAINS COULD PRODUCE LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODS AND
MUD SLIDES...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS OF HIGH TERRAIN.

Quote
2. SHOWER ACTIVITY LOCATED ABOUT 850 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF THE
LEEWARD ISLANDS IS ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER-LEVEL LOW INTERACTING
WITH A TROPICAL WAVE.  UPPER-LEVEL WINDS COULD BECOME A LITTLE MORE
CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO...AND THIS
SYSTEM HAS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30 PERCENT
...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT
5 TO 10 MPH.

0:18 - I really like the Election music CBS used back in 2000/2004. It definitely fits the occasion.
On a sidenote: WOW, I watched this election coverage on ABC, but I didn't realize how CLOSE John Kerry was to defeating Bush. If he had of won Ohio, he very well would have. :o

I also like NBC, they used this in 2008 and are using it again for 2012.

I'll pick FOX. (I vomit at the thought of FOX News on cable however .)

Random one here:
Rachel Maddow, MSNBC or Diane Sawyer, ABC?

Heh, I thought I remembered there being a thread here for this, I had to look it up in the search bar. I'll make this an Election 2012 Edition post.

Nicole Mitchell on Facebook is saying Heather was let go,

They got rid off Heather Tesch?

That's very sad. Heather was one of the good OCMs on TWC. I wish her good luck. I predict that Mike Seidel, Vivian Brown and Kim Cunningham are next to be laid off.

I was thinking the same thing when the news of Jeff Morrow was being discussed.

That first clip - Seriously Chris? That large HD studio and you couldn't walk behind Crystal instead of in front of her live shot? Did he think he would disappear like a ghost by ducking? smh.   :dunno:

DAYS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS DISTURBANCE CAN BE FOUND IN
HIGH SEAS FORECASTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WATHER SERVICE.

Hurricane Central / Tropical Storm Patty

I started not to even post about this considering how laughable it is. It would be great if it's moisture could be drawn towards us.

If named, she will be dubbed "Patty"

EDIT: Can someone move this to the Hurricane Central board? I started this thread in the wrong section.
