I don't know when this happened, but I noticed Morning Rush changed their color scheme to various variants of orange which is MUCH better for a morning show than the color scheme they had before.

What bothers me most is mainly the lens flare, it's so cheap looking.

It's like they were collaborating in a room all together saying, "Hmm I wonder what can make this somewhat bad display look cooler? Hey, how about Len flares? Len flares make any design look cooler."

That's a great design

Now for my picky side  on the purple eighth note at the top, there's a bit of a shape sticking out and the hands on the brown saxophonist at the bottom have a blue-ish outline around them

Thanks for bringing that to my attention because actually it's not an outline, it's just the way I drew the hands with the pen tool. See, I drew the body first, then the shades, saxophone, and then the hands and grouped it all together afterwards. The blueish looking outline is from the blueish/purple background that image along with the other silhouette jazz players are on. I'll probably have to redraw them over with the pen tool again. I'm also gonna fix the outlines of the musical notes because I'm aware some of them are squiggly. I'll have to use the direct selection tool for that.

I settled on going with Sample 2 as my final draft to submit, but with the revisions I mentioned.

In my Vector Graphics class our first project is to make a Jazz poster in Adobe Illustrator. Here are two of three drafts I've been working on. My Vector Graphics teacher saw a version fairly similar to Sample 1 and said she loved it. She asked me if I felt there should be anything else added to it and told her I wasn't sure. Boy, ever since I said that I've been sketching and drawing with the pen tool most of today trying to decide on a final design to submit for a grade. What do you all think?

Yet another severe weather outbreak I underestimated. It started out rather tame like January 30th, then suddenly it blossomed into this mess. I'm glad to hear there were no deaths and hopefully those injured will recover very soon.

He should have went to CT or Long Island. Plenty of thundersnow reported out there.

Speaking of disappointments, I'm disappointed to see NYC might not manage to see over 6 inches out of this. A lot of things went wrong there, the wasted 1/2 inch of QPF that went to being only rain, along with a late phase of the two energies (clipper & nor'easter) which caused a nice little break in the snow action. I heard Central Park has only accumulated 2.5 inches. Great, the one time I choose to be gutsy on a snow forecast and I'll probably end up having a dozen egg yolks streaming from my face.

This thing is far from over in our area. The city will easily see over a foot tonight with amazing snowfall rates. I would be shocked if they didn't. We still have about 4-6 more hours of decent snows before it tapers off. I'm already at 10.5" as of midnight, the north shore has 2 feet already. Many forecasters are now calling for nearly 3 feet on the north shore. A lot of people thought this was a bust, even my self, until part two came along.

Yeah, waking up this morning it's clear I hit the panic button way too early.
