I hate TWC.

Oh, and I forgot to mention:

The Accuweather channel
NBC WeatherPlus
NBC Weather Plus isn't even around anymore. Thats what my local NBC affiliate used to have too.

Oh yeah, and I'd like to see News 12 T&W here even though I'm just a tad far from their north jersey division... their coverage is pretty solid. And, WFMZ's AccuWeather channel (indie jazz!!).
I wish we had the 24/7 WFMZ accuweather channel too. Bring News 12 T&W , WYBE and bring some NYC channels here like WPIX, WABC and the like, I can't stand the majority of the Philly stations around here.
I totaly agree with you. Trust me, the stations from Peoria are far more worse than the Phily ones. I wish we could get the NYC locals too. We also get AccuWeather around here too. Its carred on WEEK's digital over-the-air sub channel and also through Comcast's digital cable line-up. I personly think AccuWeather is okay, but Weatherscan is even better.

From my Comcast system:
Boomerang, Weatherscan (on the basic package too), TWC HD, Cartoon Network HD (mainly for Pokemon and Adult Swim), Cartoon Network West, MSNBC HD, CNBC HD, Comedy Central HD, WABC, WCBS, WNBC, WNYW, WWOR, WPIX, and WNET and just for fun: MSG, MSG+, MSG+2, SNY, and YES.

BTW: The reason why I wish I had the New York area stations instead of all my locals is because I HATE ALL of my local affiliates (which happens to be WHOI - ABC & CW+, WEEK - NBC, WMBD - CBS, WYZZ - Fox, WTVP - PBS, and WAOE - My Network TV). My local media market by the way is messed up and dieing and all of the newscasts from my area sucks. Also, the reason why I wish I could see the New York area RSNs is because I just want to watch for the fun of it (even though I'm mostly a St. Louis fan, but I like New York too). I only get FS Midwest (St. Louis teams), CSN Chicago (Chicago teams) and the Big Ten Network (Illinois feed only). I expecialy hate the Chicago teams and I don't care about the Big Ten. Another thing that sucks about watching sports on TV is because the all of the leauges wouldn't let you watch out-of-market teams and their broadcasts (even if they are playing against your own local team).

Perrered cable companys:
Cablevision, Insight (which we used to have in Illinois), Wow! Cable, Qwest, Sudden Link, RCN, or U.S. Cable.

Channels I wish my system would permently drop:
All of my locals of that said network affiliate, WGN America (Chicago biases, synd-ex blackouts, and sucky reruns), Nickelodeon (Spongebob and Dora ruined the network and I outgrew it anyways), Fox News Channel (I NEVER trusted Fox or liked them), E! (west coast bias and chick shows), CSN Chicago (again, I HATE the Chicago teams even though I'm in their stupid territory  :wall: ), Disney Channel (too much Hanna Montanna, see also Nickelodeon), Disney XD (Disney Ch. clone), and the TV Guide Network (I miss Prevue Guide).

Those are the channels I wish my system would add as well as the ones I wish would get permity removed and the providers I wish were in my area.

Everything Else Classic TWC / Re: Andy Richter Visits TWC (1997)

I think they featured that clip durring The Weather Channel's 20th Annerversery special back in 2002.

I expecialy liked the part where he appeared on the "blue screen" dressed up in blue clothing to make it look like he's half invisible.

Local Forecast / Re: Weatherstar 4000 Locations that remain
« on: February 18, 2011, 12:11:40 AM »
I never knew TWC still kept their old 3000 units. What I find interesting about these three pictures of the 3000 is that each one of these 3000 units have a different panel on the front. If you look at the first picture (the one with the Jr. and 4000 units), notice how the 3000 at the bottom has "THE WEATHER STAR" logo all in capital letters with a blue background and black text while the second picture shows "The Weather STAR" logo in lower case letters and a white background with black text (kind of hard to tell since its in black & white). The last picture shows what appears to be two Weather STARs stacked up together. Note how the one on top in the third picture has "THE WEATHER STAR" logo all in capital letters again, but this time with a dark navy blue background and white lettering while the one on the bottom in the same picture shows "The Weather STAR" logo in lower case letters again, but this time, with a blue background with black text.

So this makes me wounder: which one is the WeatherSTAR II and which one is the WeatherSTAR III (3000)? I beleve the one from the 1982 picture is the orginal WeatherSTAR I model. I wounder if they changed the labels when they made the Weather STARs I, II, and III?

The Weather Channel's studios in Atlanta, Georgia also have a few WeatherStar 4000s as well as the other remaining Weather Star systems, including the Jr., the XL, the Intellistar, and the Intellistar 2.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

I just hope they don't show more movies and long form on Weatherscan.   Yet, even our cable system doesn't have Weatherscan, just TWC.

Here we go again...   I made this myself.

I also made this toolbar wallpaper. It doesn't seem to work on IE 7 and 8's toolbar, just the Windows toolbar in XP.
