Heard of it, but like you said, it's rare.

Vortex2 is only in the midwest, not northeast.

It was never a feature, but rather just a temporary playlist created and manually sent out to certain STARs by the STAR Team.

I think they might be testing a few new flavors on my STAR. I'm only seeing the radar at :28/:58, and the :18/:48 flavor was weird: Metro CC, Almanac, Metro Forecast (2), 48 Hour Local, Week Ahead.

I just thought of this - you might be on a different playlist (which may not include regional maps). Western STARs are different because of the satellite loop.

Happy to see SVU's still on NBC's lineup.

I can't believe even after all these changes, they STILL haven't enabled the regional maps.
Do you have marine and traffic products? If so, that's probably why.

That's part off the glitches
the IS background during the LF is missing, also.
I'll upload those images later.

What's your STAR ID#?

FYI - these changes are just the beginning.

I can't wait to see what changes those are to the IntelliSTAR

one good Addition would be a feature that would allow the viewer to choose to turn the narration on and off during a forecast.

I meant more lineup changes. And that "addition" is impossible to add. :footinmouth:

The one minute playlists should be shown from 10am-2pm et, IIRC.
That's what I thought. What about during weekends? Same time?
Just to clarify, my post was a statement (not a wish, or anything). The 1 min locals air from 10am-2pm et. No idea about weekends.

Is the CC screen going to show at a different time during the :08/:38, or is it not going to display at all during that forecast?
It doesn't show at all.

Local Forecast / New Product Playlists (flavors) being tested
« on: May 17, 2009, 09:22:07 PM »
For the past week, my STAR has had new product playlists (the internal name used for what we TWC fans call "flavors") being tested on it. It's not been determined yet whether these changes are final, and a national roll out will occur or not. One of two things may or may not happen tomorrow (Monday) - the playlists will be tested on certain STARs, or they will do a national test. It's really a wait-and-see kind of thing. The biggest changes are outlined below:

-The CC screen no longer starts off each LF. The :08/:38 local starts with the local ob screens.
-When the wx bulletin screen is active, it is the very first screen. Also, this prevents the CC screen from showing during the :18/:48 LF, where the metro CC and regional CC screens are used instead.
-Seeing more of the getaway, air quality, and almanac screens on a regular basis.
