I actually think that is how he talks, unfortunately.  I am not a huge fan of Santos' presentations.

On another note, I am not feeling Crystal Egger.  She seems to stumble on her words quite a bit.

Agreed on both points!

Still working on the images above, but I was fooling around with what the future TWC FiOS app might look like. Note original images belong to TWC, however they have been modified by me.

Too much clutter IMO. The only reason there is a child board for the Istar2 is so it's easy for the STAR Team to pick out Istar2 discussion.

does anyone else with Windows 7 have problems with Itunes when launching it? Every time I launch the program it freezes, so I have to go to the Task manager and end the process...I launch it again and it works just fine.

it's a problem that's really starting to get on my nerves.  :club:
No problems. iTunes on windows in general sucks. I would reinstall it
iTunes in general just sucks. It's way too bloated (which is ironic because Apple is known for being simplistic), and they just keep adding stuff. Hopefully they announce their Lala replacement soon with a similar streaming/cloud service, so I can dump iTunes altogether.

Is there a way a cable company could have 2 or more Intellistar Headends on 1 system?

for example (New Bedford) and the adjacent headend (Taunton)

and appear on different channel frequencies? (45 & 47)
I'm pretty sure Comcast's Cherry Hill system is like that. There are locations in that area that receive the same Weatherscan and same exact channel lineup and services, but different domestic stars depending on where you are.
Yup, Comcast in Pittsburgh is like that too. They have several different IntelliStars, but only operates two Weatherscans, one for metro Pittsburgh and points south, and several WV and OH counties, and the other for northern counties and a few east central OH counties.

Cheeseballs away!

TWC's 2010 icons are finally up in 93x93 PNG form on xoap.weather.com

Thanks to Zach and his server snooping for finding these. :P
That's  :cool3:  CHEEZYPOOFS! :P

For some reason, some of the icons are duplicated.

It has always been like that with TWC and the numbered icon set and it beats me on why
Some of the icons really are duplicated, but the 3 smoke icons on there appear the same, although if you look closely they suggest animation.

I just noticed if you go to xoap.weather.com, it'll go to the old weather.com, but there will still be current content. :o
The icon set is still missing the sunny/windy, cloudy/windy, mostly clear, fog/drizzle, the partly cloudy/windy icons, the rain/windy and snow/windy icons with "windy" on them, and the AM/PM rain and snow icons.

Several icons are missing. The only icons that are on that site are the ones that map correctly with weather.com (which is why they are numbered). The only reason they appeared in that folder is because they are part an apparent future Verizon FiOS TV weather widget (which would be cool! the current Weatherbug app is slow, and not detailed enough). The widget will likely come when VZ launches it's new interactive programming guide sometime next year.

The arrow icon isn't part of the official set. It was first created for foreign weather.com sites (they also had a custom fog icon with a road on it).

I would just like to say - I think Todd Santos' hair is ugly.

Mine's not working either, but what's even more strange is that the radar/satellite is working just fine.
Makes sense, because they're completely different feeds.

Does Verizon FiOS does the same as most cable headends?
I'm not sure I understand your question...

TWC's 10 day forecast may be getting changed graphically to something similar to the experimental 5 day forecast that showed up this week. Also is this why the other day in the web address it said beta.weather.com eventhough it doesn't say beta on the site? Tonight it says preview.weather.com.

http://preview.weather.com/weather/5-day/Atlanta+GA+USGA0028

I like that layout! I've dislike the layout of the 10 day for years now. Oh, btw, that 5 day is clearly in direct competition of Accuweather's extended outlook: http://www.accuweather.com/us/pa/slippery-rock/16057/forecast-details.asp

There is a possibility TWC could find a new provider sometime next year.

http://www.sigalert.com/Map.asp ?

On second thought, this may not surprise me. TWC already has a partnership with Westwood One/Metro Networks, the parent company of sigalert.com. We shall see...
