Thats interesting... because i couldve sworn in a monitor i saw behind Jim earlier the Titan source was on itThere's a good chance they're still mixing it in. I know our local NBC affiliate, WPXI, changed their radar to Weather Central's ESP:Live last fall, but they still occasionally use their old radar for some reason.
effective immediately, any twct member that rants a whole book on TWCs FB page will be deleted from my friends list...I'm tired of those rants appearing on my feed because they are WORTHLESS.One of the many reasons why I won't be FB friends with most of the people here. That, and I don't personally know most of you, and many of you are very young.
that is all.
How will the future be different as society continues to move towards mobile platforms, and more and more people but the cord from cable and satellite every day? There just isn't a market for another TWC. Cable viewers are going down. Cable networks (especially news and information networks) are struggling to keep viewer rates as it is. I really don't know many people who watch TWC anymore. It's all about mobile and internet distribution. No cable only company will successfully compete with TWC. It's just a sad fact.
It's a sad fact now, but the future could be different we will just have to wait and see how WN plays into the numbers.
With how successful of a network TWC is, why would Comcast want to give it competition? And why would Comcast want to fork out money to acquire rights to WeatherNation? They would make little, if any money off of it.
Comcast wants competition because it would help bring in subscribers (don't you already hear that often?) plus it's not successful in a subscriber standpoint only in business, and Comcast would jump on this ball just like any of these cable companies who want to drag in subscribers and that's a fact.
*Please note i'm not starting any fights, i'm just saying that Comcast would do anything to drag in Subscriptions, even if its a new Weather Channel*
limited news so far but the launch should maybe come between May and July if it was to be during Q2 2011
The Weather Channel Invites Competition - And Gets It. TV Industry News 4.4.11 |
just because Comcast is almost done acquiring NBC doesn't mean they're trying to protect TWC, Competition in cable make sense (especially in the News/Weather category) and i wont be surprised if they end up acquiring WeatherNation TV just for extra money from paid subscribers. With how successful of a network TWC is, why would Comcast want to give it competition? And why would Comcast want to fork out money to acquire rights to WeatherNation? They would make little, if any money off of it.
We all know Comcast looks for every little way to make money and adding a channel like this is the way to go.
Comcast won't carry it. Their purchase of NBC is about to be finalized, so why would they want to purchase rights to carry a channel that would compete with one of their own networks (TWC).Release is supposedly Q2 '11 i wonder how long it would take for comcast to carry it.
From one Comcast subscriber to another, I think the network will have folded by the time Comcast even THINKS of carrying it.
I have the IntelliStar 2 now!Can you post some videos?
