The majority of TWC's day to day graphics are done in house, including the L3s from last year.

I just saw the opening. How fugly!! I don't understand why TWC is still producing their graphics in-house, and why NBC Artworks isn't doing their graphics from Rockefeller Plaza like the rest of the NBC's properties.

If the opening is anything like the static images I've seen on the monitors during WC tonight, they put too much emphasis on "LIVE" and not enough on "Weather Center."

Send someone else (Carl Parker, Adam Berg, etc). Viewers want to see consistency. They would never send TODAY's Matt Lauer or Meredith Vieira on assignment for weeks or months at a time, would they? No.I don't understand why Mike Bettes is going on the tornado hunt if he is an anchor on YWT and contributes to WUWA. Even when he was part of VORTEX2 I didn't understand.They'll prob get Jen Carfagno to cover for him 3-4 days of the week.

I don't understand why Mike Bettes is going on the tornado hunt if he is an anchor on YWT and contributes to WUWA. Even when he was part of VORTEX2 I didn't understand.

« on: May 06, 2011, 08:46:02 PM »When Vocal Local Allen Jackson was reading Chance of precip 30%, early years, he narrated a short abbreviated "Chance of precip. 30%", but beginning in the 2005-2006 Winter Season, he now narrates "Chance of precipitation 30%".
He narrates both. It depends how the forecast is written. If it is written precip, it reads precip, and if it is written as precipitation, its read precipitation.

I think this is a direct result of his awesome performance during the horrific tornado outbreak last week. Congrats to Carl, and I certainly look forward to seeing him alongside Forbes!
On a side note - what does this mean for Cantore? Will we see Cantore, Parker, and Forbes all together?

I actually don't remember that, but since that shot was taken during EE, my best guess would be that the set turned purple for the EE time slot.
