General Discussion / Re: AT&T Drops iPhone prices by $200!
« on: May 01, 2008, 07:25:43 PM »
The main reason for the drop is AT&T exclusive deal with Apple is nearing its end. They want as many people as possible to sign up for a two year contract as possible. I love my iPhone and while it was expensive, I think I got my moneys worth out of the thing. I have T-Mobile anyway... :twothumbs:

Incorrect. The contract extends out 5 years, so therefore there's a little over 4 remaining.

Maybe you're just not watching when they show it... as it's still shown quite regularly, most notably by Dave, Vivian, Bill (on WV), Betty Davis, and Greg Forbes.

Also to note, this product is now sometimes shown on Skytacker (in a different mode), rather than this static map product.

Some of the price drop can may be attributed to the decrease in cost of flash memory in the past few years, as well as the introduction of many other touch-screen devices similar to the iPhone over the past year.

This is still just a rumor. Both AT&T nor Apple have confirmed anything as of yet, and they likely won't 'til the device's release. But, there's one BIG downfall within this rumor... AT&T is expected to significantly raise monthly prices for the data packages.

I think he's referring to the associate principal.

BTW - I wanted to ask. How many principals do you guys have?

In elementary school, we had 1 principal, 1 asst. principal.
Middle school... 1 building principal; 4 astt. principals (one for each grade); 4 asst. administrators (like an asst. asst. principal, and again, one per grade).
High school (at Penn Hills)... 1 building principal, 3 astt. principals (one for each grade); 3 asst. administrators (like an asst. asst. principal, and again, one per grade).

Here, we have 1 principal, 1 asst. principal.

You're only in elementary school, how many other schools could you have attended? Plus, I doubt elementary school is that bad.

I took the PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment, one of the hardest state-mandated tests in the nation) Science section today and yesterday. Yesterday was easy (global warming, earth, bio stuff, etc), but today had a lot of advanced chemistry, and I'm not to good there.

BTW, it's now a state law in PA that a student must score no lower than "Proficient" in Math, Writing and Reading (a science requirement law is near) to graduate. On the PSSA's, you can score the following:

Advanced
Proficient
Basic
Below Basic

Every Pennsylvania student in grades 3 through 8 and grade 11 is assessed in reading and math.  Every Pennsylvania student in grades 5, 8 and 11 is assessed in writing. The 11th grade scores determines your graduation eligibility.
