I remember when my XL was upgraded to a Istar... it was a Saturday morning (go figure), and it took just a few hours.

Not just there, here too. I'm sure not ever single of your 9957 posts were needed here. That's way too many in this forum's short lifespan.  And don't even start the "you're picking one me" stuff, because I say the same stuff to other who post pointless things. Ask Gil, he and I had our share of head-butts about non-essential postings.  :ninja:

I went to the Device Manager on my computer and the ipod is not even listed
Well for starters, you're going to have to throw out your computer. And since you don't have a computer anymore, you'll need to throw out your iPod and your internet modem.

Then, wait about 5 years till you grow a brain, then try again. Good luck. :)

LOL! Sounds like something I've said before...

Everything Else TWC / Re: The Weather Channel | HD Discussion
« on: June 09, 2008, 08:29:23 PM »
I just noticed this during one of Julie Martin's live reports: The square things on the microphones (they have a name, I forget that they're called at the moment) now have  the TWC logo on two sides and the |HD| logo on the other two alternating sides.

They're called mic flags.

I have an HP dv9815 that I just got the day before Memorial Day. Everything's nice so far except for the fact that the mousepad driver doesn't allow you to middle click by pressing the left and right buttons simultaneously. I was actually going to buy a cheaper Toshiba, but I found out that Toshiba and Sony don't even offer scrolling on their mousepads, and that's a must, so I went with this HP, my second choice.

Also, it's a 17" widescreen, so there's a numberpad on the right side of the keyboard; it's all well and good, but I'm a bit disturbed by the right-hand "shift" key only being the size of a regular key on the keyboard with the Up arrow just to the right of it. All too often I mess up while typing and hit either the up arrow or the backslash key just to its left. I really hope I get used to it eventually.

BTW, It has a 200GB HD and 3 GB of memory. It was either $949 or $999; I can't remember which.

Can you elaborate a bit more on your purchase, if you don't mind? What processor does it have? Does it use 64-bit Vista? If so, how is that? Thanks!

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: TWC|HD comes to Comcast
« on: June 08, 2008, 01:04:00 PM »
This is wonderful for Comcast customers served by Comcast's Three Rivers Headends. A guy wrote the to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's TV column and asked:

Q: My question is regarding the NEW Weather Channel "in HD." I know it all debuted Monday. I have a Comcast HD box with HDTV. Will there be a new channel like WPXI has for HD?
-- Ryan, 24, Kennedy Township

A: No. According to a spokeswoman: "Comcast has absolutely no plans which include adding an HD version of Weather Channel at this time in our area."

Cheap mother :censored:

Why are you guys posting ID's?

He asked what they mean, not what your ID's are.
Good question. I was wondering the same thing.
