It's coming by years end. Philly's problem is it wasn't launched as a digital market, as the others. Most of the other markets, North Texas, the Tampa area, Northern Jersey, and Pittsburgh, were all launched as half-digital, making the upgrade much easier. Philly must make the switchover to all digital before they add the new channels.

This is Comcast's big problem. Most of their systems are severely outdated, and are non-digital, or only partially digital. They need all-digital systems to add all the HD channels.

Seems like they are inadvertently simulcasting the TWC from Ames to your area (for an unknown reason), which would explain the the ~5 second delay (when channels/programs are simulcasted, there is usually a few second delay). Probably a mistake, and they will fix it when they notice

In the mean time, I wouldn't mind seeing a LF video from Ames.

Got my mailing the other day with 3 lineups in it (the amount of FiOS boxes we have). Also, a message announcing the new channels is on WeatherScan, and during every LF on the LDL (do people actually read those?).


Here are updated dates (as shown on verizon.com):

Did you check all three hours? I don't think they do a tease before the opener during the 4AM hour since that hour is mastered.

Yes, I fast forwarded through all 3 hours, and there was no tease during any hour.

The way that the rounded maps animate in is really cool, IMO.

I completely agree... I really like them. Not your "average" weather map.
