I just noticed they've opened a Sonic here in Bensalem. I thought that was a southern chain!
Nope. Recall I said in the fast food thread that one opened here last year and two more opened this yera.

As for headends sizes, yes I may only be 20 miles from Philly but the temperature difference between Downtown Philadelphia and rural Bucks/Montco/Chesco and the Pine Barrens can differ greatly. Heck, Bensalem and Levittown's temperature differences are often 5-10 degrees and they're less than a half hour away from each other!
But, that happens everywhere, including here. In fact, it happens ALL the time in the winter and spring, where it will rain in Downtown Pittsburgh and in the southern 'burbs, but in the eastern suburbs we'll get an inch or two of snow.

Also, headend sizes isn't the only reason why I refuse to switch...
Elaborate please.

Yeah but it makes no damn sense for my own city to be on the Getaway. They should put another city like Wildwood, NJ or Wilmington, DE. That's in the Philadelphia DMA.

Why? AC is a more popular destination than Wildwood or Wilmington. Plus, that really solves nothing, as those two places, also in the Philly DMA, would see their city on the getaway forecast. There is no real good solution for this problem.

When I get Fios, I'll be switching to it in a heartbeat.
You'll get weather for Center City, PA.

That's the main reason why I refuse to switch to FiOS (I know, odd reason), but my parents really want to switch so I don't know what to do. I don't want to tell them that I don't want FiOS just because I'm getting a forecast for a city that's more than 20 miles away.
We all know I'm a big fan of localization of the IntelliStars, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather save and get better service with FiOS and deal with a forecast that's not as local as the competition (Comcast). Switching cable providers shouldn't be based on the headend size. Plus, you're only 20 miles away from Philadelphia, that's not bad at all.

I'm with Billy on this one. It's probably so that blue sponsor area doesn't look "out of place."

I'm willing to barter. I'll send an autographed picture of myself in exchange for the STAR. Deal? :cool3:

I don't see anything except AC being on the getaway, which I already explained isn't fixable.
How is that not fixable?
Because Getaways are programmed by DMA, and AC is considered part of the Philadelphia market.

Atlantic City is not even on the 4 city CC list.
Because AC is your primary ob site.

Avalon is incorrectly positioned.
No, it's not. The text is fine on the bottom. I've seen a bunch of maps like this.

I just noticed this...

On the Weekly Planner for First Outlook...

Instead of showing all maps for precipitation then all maps for temperatures, the maps were organized by day. For example, Monday's Forecast would show then Monday's Highs would follow.

When did this start?

Hmm, I haven't seen this yet, but it sounds like a good idea to me!

Well if he can't tell us the truth, and if his behavior continues, he won't be at TWCC much longer. :cool3:

Why do people have to lie about their age?
