Gary, I know nothing huge will happen. I've been saying that from the beginning. However, to *most* people, the discontinuation of Weatherscan wouldn't even make them blink. It's ratings are rather poor.

Sorry, but I'm differing with all three of you. There's a reason no upgrades have been made since the announcement that NBC was "interested" in TWC (and yes, there were a few minor tweaks planned). However, they have yet to be developed because the future of Weatherscan is on "thin ice." I'll leave it at that.

We'll see Tyler. For some reason some people just can't come to grips with the fact that no major changes are coming from this buyout. 

Was that rolleyes directed towards me? Because I surly didn't deserve it.

So you're saying Weatherscan WILL be discontinued, or are you just making a prediction?

I didn't say it would, I said, or was trying to say, it's all still unclear, though it remains a crude possibility.

WeatherPlus is going absolutely nowhere. NBC has invested too much in it, as well as pretty much all the local affiliates. If anything, Weatherscan is getting the axe.

Comcast has done this in other areas as well. Seems they're shifting away from pushing the CN8 brand since the network was reformatted.

They should just keep the Narration off the New star coming out then I'll be happy but if not i don't think i will watch TWC anymore.

If they do put narration on the new Star, they will be hearing from a REALLY unhappy fan. 

Quite honestly, it won't matter. I've said it numerous times before... the number of satisfied people significantly outweighs the number of people who despise the narration.

I have 2 of the same WeatherScan IntellStar feeds on Ch.245 & Ch. 845 is anyone else seeing this and is there anyway of this being a problem or being permanent for WeatherScan HD in the future?

The cable may just renumbering channels.

TWC now airs basic TWC promotions on most units (even those with Ad Crawls). Your cable co must not be airing any at this point in time. My Comcast headend would air ads for months at a time, then stop, and begin again. No big deal, really.

Just saw a new Storm Alert "reopen." (remember the one for Gustav that said "Gulf Coast Prepares," etc?). Well, it was like that, but a lot nicer.
