TV Guide is their data provider.

It was actually her voice for the promo where everyone worldwide is going to turn off their lights for 60 seconds or something.

Interesting. With the launch of new graphics at WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami, all the weather title bars are now subtitled with "weather.com"

I'm very, very happy with my FiOS.

Comcast is pretty good (don't shoot me).
Oh dear God, I hope you're joking.

The problem is Comcast is probably trying to keep NFL Network on the Sports tier, while the NFL wants it desperately offered on digital basic (similar to the Comcast/Big Ten Network debacle). But, either way, Comcast dropping the NFL Network has nothing to do with them adding TWCHD.

before you know it, they will drop either Jim Cantore, Bill Keneely (or however you spell it), or Greg Forbes. That will, in my words and mind, the end of the Weather Channel. :wow:

I can see them dropping Keneely, but Cantore and Forbes? Highly unlikely.

It's been a year since the three-day Extended Forecast has been discontinued on the IntelliStar.
I've noticed that... I haven't seen it in forever!
That's because it's been, well... discontinued. :P

I still think EE was better from June 2008 - Feb. 2009 than it was from 2007- May 2008.
Agreed.

As much as I miss it, they aren't coming back. Most if not all other stations use skytracker radars too.
You're exactly right. Fixed-radars aren't used nowadays. Most up-to-date stations use some type of live controllable-radar (Titan, etc).

Plus, I doubt their old radars are HD capable.
Not a chance.

Yes, in NY. There is no set launch date, but hopefully it will be out of the beta stages by year's end.

Personally, I wouldn't place money on that, though. :itsok:

Oh wait, I was just thinking tides for some reason. Yes, the marine forecast did replace the daypart. However, when the marine forecast didn't play, the daypart was shown.

Does anyone know what flavor the XL marine forecast would show up on, and what screen it would replace?
IIRC, it was on the M flavor after the Tides, replacing the daypart.

On the XL, the marine forecast replaced the normal almanac, not the daypart.
