Nothing, I was just hoping TWC would have a little bit more individuality despite being recently acquired by NBC.
But I think you're forgetting - it's not up to TWC anymore. It's up to NBC.

Wow, I had no idea Storm Stories was produced by Peacock now.

Why is it bad Peacock is producing the show now? All long form productions will be done by them (it only makes sense)...

And, personally, I think the episodes produced by them were a put together a lot better than the episodes by Towers and Atlas. Even the ads and cross-promotional spots are nicer than before.

The Front Porch is starting to creep me out. We need a fence around this place to keep all the whack-jobs away. :hmm:

I believe it varies from state to state, Gil.

I hate dogs, and I could get into a really heated discussion as to why cats are SOOOO much better. :D

No matter what, you won't be able to convince me. I'm allergic to them.

Yeah, that's a separate unit, which is through an independent cable co., IIRC.

Everything Else TWC / Re: TWC close to naming new CEO
« on: March 25, 2009, 09:05:03 PM »
According to the following article, TWC is close to naming a new CEO, to replace the departed Deborah Wilson. The man being considered is named Bill Bolster. Here's the article:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/26/business/media/26weather.html?_r=1&ref=media

Just curious...what sort of changes could/would/should this bring about?  :hmm: :dunno:

My guess... not many. This new CEO will likely be more focused on day to day things, rather than drastic programming changes, which will continue to come from NBCU.

There's obviously a way around that rule, otherwise they wouldn't be cutting that specific local channel. They wouldn't blatantly go against FCC Regulations.

I've always had the "If it burns, it's working" mentality towards Listerine.

Except when you're urinating. :P

I was sleep and I was wondering...
"What if the following things went out of business? The Weather Channel, Best Buy, Cricket, and McDonalds?"

All I'm going to say is if McDonald's go out of business, then Church's Chicken will step up to the plate.

If the Church's Chicken here in my area closes down, then I have to travel 20 miles up north just to get fried chicken. In my opinion, they are way better than KFC. Best Buy? Highly doubt about it. I just bought my laptop from there.
What about Cricket, TWC and McDonald's? :dunno:

What's Cricket?
And...OMG if McDonalds goes out of business, there will be no more Happy meals!!!! :thrilled:
Cricket is the best phone company for teens. Talk all you want, text all you want for $45 a month. For $5 more, you can take your phone anywhere that offers Cricket or MetroPCS. They got cute phones, low priced, but the people at the service desk, they can act ratchet, so watch out for them.

Wow, you sound like a salesperson.

Yes, it's still the same data, just presented differently (through GUI).
