They have already directed the NBC-owned local stations to have a local presence/identity again like they did before NBC screwed things up back in the late 90s/early 2000s, so don't worry about NBC molding TWC any further.

It is possible for them to abbreviate the name to TWC. They will change and do whatever they want to the network they don't care about the past history of the channel.
