There was a tsunami advisory for southern Oregon and parts of northern California, but thankfully never for where I live in southern Washington  otherwise I would have heard the sirens go off here in Long Beach and then would have headed for higher ground  :fear:
Last night's quake was nothing. Wait until the Cascadia 9.0 strikes ;)
Don't worry, I'll be ready for that one  ;) :P  After all, I do happen to live in a tsunami-ready community
Good, I hope you will stay safe. Safety and preparedness is paramount. I kinda live in a tsunami-ready community. Tsunamis are unheard of in NJ. Norfolk, VA is the closest east coast tsunami ready town near me.

Never cared for it. They were sliding down the slippery slope for as long as I can remember when it comes to programming content

I hate "See the Road and Walk" by 7and5.
I hate that song too and I wasn't just listening to that on my iPod a half an hour ago.

I heard about it too. 7.7 is enough to produce a tsunami but not a major one.

I wish TWC still used the old Storm Alert music for approaching hurricanes such as Sandy  :(  I wonder why they stopped using it.
Me too, it was very exclusive imo. I wish they would make a new theme or something

It looks like the landfall Sandy will make will be somewhere over central jersey. South jersey will get the bands but the eye (does the storm even have one) will make its mark somewhere over northern OCean County. This is a bad area...extremely low lying area. Tons of swamps and rivers does not help

At 5:28pm ET/ 4:28pm CT there was a new song I haven't heard on the LF. Sounded like a doomsday instrumental. Anybody else hear it or happen to record it?
My Name is Lincoln - Steve Jablonsky
So have they gone all instrumental again? I havent heard that song since the Isaac instrumental list
Definitely not. The same couple of songs seem to be playing over and over and over. I'm tired of hearing depressing songs, getting a ticket and disappearing, and a song about diamonds. I was a fan of vocal music... but it's starting to wear on me and I'm gonna need to turn the channel, or they're going to need to play My Name is Lincoln only. It was very doomsday-esque and appropriate for the storm situation happening.

And "Armory" by Daft Punk, it has an ominous mood for an approaching hurricane.
I agree. I hope they put the instrumentals back on. If they do, can one of you catch the rock guitar and the family matters techno song on a 2 min LF if they end up on the morning? ( the rock one is on the morning)

The latest GFS posted on Reed Timmer's FB page shows it going right for NYC/Long Island and perhaps a small slither of northern jersey.

I like the Univision logo.... The new Telemundo logo, however, I highly dislike.

The previous Telemundo logo looks great. I don't like the new one at all.
