This is the weirdest one I've heard in my life!

Video location: Chicago, Illinois (Found it on Youtube)

Lots of Lightning
Pause at 1:27 to see some serious lightning.

It looked like a giant funnel cloud right behind.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

LDL bar playing during commercials at 5:56am ET
Yeah, that was happening to me too. The LDL did not disappear and re-cue after the 5:58 AM LF either.
I saw that too, but nothing appeared when the DirecTV lf came on, you could see the ldl on the LF, after the local forecast exited.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Comcast so-called HD?
« on: March 10, 2009, 05:31:11 PM »
Most of  their so called HD choices is

1. you either have to fork up more money in there favor ( for example say the old disney movies for almost $5 for 24 Hrs thats a ripoff) or just a stupid 1:00 Movie teaser under the Trailers section, what a waste of time.

2. Mostly about 1 or 2 recent PPV's that came on in the week's past for the same actual price ($40.00 to $55.00) Need i say more?
I agree. You definitely have a point there. Especially in this bad economy, if it's not an absolute necessity, you don't necessarily need it.

BTW, here's a trick you may not have thought of to cheat your cable company with pay-per-view movies and shows:
Connect your TV tuner to the cable box. That is, the cable that would normally run from the cable box to your TV, should be routed from the cable box to your computer (TV tuner). Most cable boxes require your TV to be on Channel 3, so set your tuner on Channel 3. After you have it all connected properly and before you start the movie, click record on your TV tuner window. Now, the movie is yours and it wasn't a ripoff at all  :P
I did that to someone who had Comcast in ATL City,  still said I needed to purchase ppv movies to watch so did Weatherscan. ::angry:

Anyways, no....Comcast isn't gonna provide any HD channels for awhile. I used to be a die-hard Comcast lover (I was OBSESSED with them) not anymore.

Are there any of you who like Office 2007 but dislike the ribbon interface that was introduced with it? I have found something that'll help being the Office 2003 menus into the Office 2007 interface! I find it to be awesome!

http://blogs.howtogeek.com/mysticgeek/2009/03/08/get-office-2003-menus-in-the-office-2007-ribbon/

Office 2007 is the worst. My college uses it and a lot of the students (including me) hardly use it because it's so frustrating, especially the tabs, I can't find the part where I can double space my paper!

 :) Finally there's a solution...  :worship:

Same here! I actually found the "paragraph spacing" tab, but I forgot since there are so many confusing and useless features in Office 2007.

So in Meteorology school, we were always told by meteorologists who have been in the biz for a long time that the field is overpopulated and we won't get jobs, just the opposite seems to be true.  Most everyone I graduated with hasn't had much trouble finding jobs, and the office I'm in now is looking to hire on more people now.
The topic title was for humour purposes.

700 people applied for a single janitor job at an OH high school. $16hr and benefits doesn't sound bad though!

General Discussion / Re: Daylight Savings Time!
« on: March 08, 2009, 09:15:52 PM »
...that's a normal occurence in Alaska. In the summers, polar regions like Norway, Russia, Sweden, Iceland, etc.. get sunlight at 12am. In fact, it's never dark there during that time. In the winter, it's the opposite, it's dark most of the time.

I would love to see that someday, sunlight at 12 AM? Would I be able to sleep?  :bleh:
Depends, if you're used to sleeping with the sun in front of you. :P (lame attempt)

Glad to hear everyone's doing good. :) Would anyone be interested if I were to upload some Trammell clips from August here?

Also Rico, if you're a proud wife, then why did you set your gender as male, if you don't me asking.

I don't see how springing our clocks forward 1 hour early is supposed to save energy.
You have extra sunlight, thus less lights need to be on, etc
If that's the case then why don't they just not use Daylight savings and keep time the way it is?
