Bookit.com <_<
Same here! When was the last weekend that they did not advertise? Oh, and what is with all these sale names they're coming up with? "You Can't Afford To Stay Home This Summer Sale" or "Family Free-For-All Sale"...
It comes on TWC every 10 mins and the jingle just drives me nuts!

Can anyone tell me the artist and title of this song?

Weather Star 4000, Burns Oregon

Frail by Jars of Clay. It was used last year as well

I'm probably gonna have to apply at McDonalds right down the street where I live. The economy here in my area has been hit hard and will continue to get hit hard. But like the superkitteh said, you just have to get what's left. I'm expecting a "call back" from the bookstore this coming Friday but I highly doubt I'd get a call-back, because last Wednesday, I had a group interview, and about 80 people showed up for that interview! So... there's my hope right there. :(
if they don't call you on that Friday, YOU call them back that following Monday and kindly ask about how things are coming alonjg and if they have made a decision. It shows initiative, which is a plus.

That is how my mom got her job. She applied at a local store in person and they said they would call but they never did. So she called them and asked if there was any news, and they said there were 2 positions left and that if she came over the next day, they would interview her. Next day, she got the job.

Anyways, sorry to change the subject but I have a hard time believing this. I saw this from the Taiganet forums, and someone there speculated a tsunami filled with methane gas could kill millions along the Gulf, which is total BS

General Weather Chat / Re: Pennsylvania: May 31st curse
« on: June 20, 2010, 12:29:52 PM »
It is May 31st, and historically this date has not been kind as far as mother nature goes to the state of Pennsylvania.

By no means are these the only two times that severe weather has occurred in the the Keystone State on this date. 1998 was another year.

lol, you're not alone. Thunderstorm on May 31, 1998, too, in New Hampshire, at Crotched Mountain. (Greenfield, NH)  (03047)

And on May 31, 2001, I saw a lightning bolt when walking towards the group homes on the Crotched Mountain campus. Then on May 31, 2002, a T'storm occurred again! (Both in New Hampshire, at Crotched Mountain, in Greenfield)

For Southern Jersey, it is June 2nd. Every June 2nd from 2003-2009 there has been a severe thunderstorm that rolled through the area and I actually had this remembered.. This year, it was June 3rd breaking that record.

Wow, I hope I can finally be doing a summer job or volunteer to get community service hours so I'm not at home doing nothing!
Not a lot of people would be hiring 15 year olds, so I would do some volunteering...

I am always tired now, I don't know why. Now my day consists of watching the TV, being on the computer, eating, or sleeping. What a healthy combination :P
Same here, except I do have tennis for two hours on the weekdays. I guess you can call my sleep schedule erratic, like the longform LF schedule- all over the place and wherever I feel like placing it in :P

Yeah, I wish I could get a job too. Not many options paid or not paid around here, as I have found out.
I would apply everywhere, even if it's not posted somewhere that they're hiring. Most employers keep applications anywhere between 45-90 days, in case an opening comes up. Also, apply everywhere, even fast food. Remember, in this economy, it's best to take whatever you can get. Home Depot is not my dream job, and I may not 100% like it, but it's the only place that actually called back for an interview, so I'm not going to leave it any time soon, until the economy improves. A job is a job.
Very well said Jesse. I look forward to do some community service this summer as well but everywhere is out of walking distance from where I live which is the only thing hindering me right now. I applied at 4 places that were actually hiring but got nothing back, so maybe I will try later in the fall for a job.

It appears that NBC/Universal possibly ruined TWC!

Possibly? They already have!

I can confirm this song is not Bay City by Patrick Yandall. And I sampled the David Benoit songs from the new album and it's not it either.
June/July 2010 Daytime 8

It's a good song though. Maybe TWC will correct the error

Here's a clip I recorded during severe weather today when there was virtually NO chance of rain, don't ya just love unpredictable weather? :P This playlist started at the right time. I don't know the name of this song, but whatever the name is, you can't get any more smoother than that when it comes to smooth jazz, it's now my favorite song from the daytime list w/ Steve Oliver's "Bay City" coming in second.  I also caught "Sunlight Within" by S.O, but I'll upload that later or tomorrow.

TWC Local Forecast -Unexpected Severe Wx -6/19/2010

That's the only daytime song I needed to record but couldn't because my parents were hogging the TV for the entire morning. Anyways that's "Winding Down" by Josh Harris available as Night Wind from the album Cool Water Slow

My WinTV tuner broke all of a sudden and now it won't work anymore. :cry3: I've had a lot of good times with my tuner from May 21,2008 to June 19,2010. I guess I'm kinda screwed with the overnight clips I had on my VCR now :(

Hi guys! Just wanted to check back in with you guys. I haven't posted here in MONTHS; my life has been extremely busy for a while. Mostly school, but that's been over for a few weeks, and I've had some time to relax and I've got some more time on my hands now, which is good. :) I will try to be more active here throughout this summer.

Just wanted to stop by - in case you were worried that I died or something. :P
Well well, look who's back. I've seen you online a couple times before but have been wondering where on earth you've been. :P glad to see you back though and posting :)
