Yeah, Philly topped at 102 today and Trenton hit 104. Here at the shore, Atlantic City topped at 100 today. Definitely some record breakers today

Sorry, it was a link to a Twitpic that belonged to Mike Bettes. It was a condom protecting his microphone.

LOL!! :rofl2: Kinda weird how he made the image public. Did anyone save the image by chance?

it's still on facebook

:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: Someone posted a comment on there saying, "Someone just HAPPENED to be carrying a condom with them? XD
This is funny.

Why Mike carried a condom with him will be something I will never know.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: OCM Layoffs
« on: July 06, 2010, 02:21:45 PM »
Or it could be because they no longer can afford the higher salaries of the experienced OCMs...think about the economy folks.

I think you are exactly right, Molly. TWC is probably firing the old (good) OCMs to hire new ones for a lot lower salary to save money. :(

This is really a sad shame, though, to see Bill go. I hope he is able to quickly find work somewhere else.
While I will agree that NBC wants younger, more attractive OCMs to please the public audience (similiar to Terry Coleman vs Marny Stanier) I think the reason so many OCMs are laid off at once is for the economy. I'm sure 4 or 5 OCMs wouldn't laid off at once just because of NBC...IIRC they couldn't afford to pay the salaries of Lemke, Dion, Schwartz, etc because they would require more pay then those who stayed on the network less, therefore they had to lay them off as their last resort. Someone confirm this for me

OMG, that is like the longest URL I have ever seen.

Patrick, I wish you luck! Everyone is nervous and shy on their first days, but don't worry you'll get along with everyone and be familiar with your new position soon. :)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY EVERYONE! :D

Lots of areas in the Northeast will be exposed to dangerous heat, so stay indoors as much as possible for safety. I hope to see a fireworks display tonight over by the marina but that'll only happen if the traffic is bearable.

Does anyone else here have plans for the holiday?

Yes I do, I hated them at first but they warmed up to me. I especially liked the thunderstorm , blowing snow, wind, and rain icons.
