Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion
« on: July 12, 2010, 09:58:44 PM »
I was greeted to a surprise when I arrived at work this morning as someone had TWC on through a separate cable network (not Comcast) that is used for the Virginia Tech campus.  Blacksburg, VA has a WeatherStar 4000, and it didn't show any obvious signs of degradation.  It's nice to know the 4000s are still out there and going strong. B)
Can you post a video or picture? Not a surprise hearing this since many college campuses and their own cable systems use older TWC Stars like the Jr at Rutgers and Penn State. (both replaced by DirecTV now)

I feel as if this is my most realistic one to date.
WeatherStar Junior - Revived!
"She Likes To Watch" by The Rippingtons. If you ask why it sounds funny, it's because I was trying out a high-pass filter ;)

Very nice! I wanna emulate a Junior like that but I don't have any proper programs to do so. The song sounds very HD like. :D

Wow Michael, these are amazing! I wish TWC could use graphics similar to those for the HD Star.

Too old school looking :P You should put a peacock next to it to make it more fitting :P
Ding Ding
(NBC Logo is property of NBC. "The Careless Company" is NOT a registered trademark. Lets make that clear  )
Now THAT is quality work.

Overhauled my Text LF design from last year. :)

Interesting work but the F (Fahrenheit) isn't displayed on the 36 hour. I do like the renderings on the right though.

Wow, I thought 7/11's were everywhere by now. :o
So did I.  WAWA is just starting to appear in my area.

WAWA is slowly becoming the second 711. They even have Wawa gas stations in NJ and PA. Virginia is the southernmost state with Wawas. Wawa's coffee and hoagies are the best :P

Well I can help out with maintaining and organizing the gallery if it's needed. As for spam, I wasn't aware about that...I don't recall seeing spam comments.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Gallery
« on: July 11, 2010, 02:33:36 PM »
Hey, I was wondering what happened to the gallery here? I noticed it's been gone for awhile but I found it as a neat feature to upload TWC videos there instead of YouTube or Dailymotion. Is there a chance that the gallery would be brought back or were there reasons that the gallery was removed?

General Weather Chat / Re: Northeast Heat Wave :)
« on: July 11, 2010, 02:13:43 PM »
Thanks to this heat wave from last week, a lot of the Mid-Atlantic is flagged for abnormally dry or drought conditions.  You can check out the Drought Monitor for yourself.  I sure hope we get some rain soon, or it's going to be a really hot and dry summer.
Yeah it has been. We've had very few days with measurable rainfall and it's needed for the crops and plants down here.

I never participated in the 7-11 Slurpee challenge. I mean who knows what they put in those free slurpees? :P

It's either a 7-11 or a Wawa near me.

I will be doing all the way down to 2000 if anyone was wondering.
I will be providing the 2000 clips. I have some 2000 songs to trim down.
