Has anyone noticed how there has been a recent surge of members signing up who are actively posting or, is it just me ? During my 3 years here, I don't think I've ever seen a pattern quite like this before. I wonder if there was some recent promotion done here or something.

The storm already is a hurricane. But you bring up a good point. When was the last time a hurricane hit your area, Molly?

1999 when Hurricane Floyd destroyed several houses within a mile away from my old apartment. However, the main threat that affected us was the intense winds and flooding. I was only six though back then so I don't remember most the details. If this storm affects us, expect me to stay in the eye of the storm and ride this thing out..

IMO, TWC has gone downhill since the earlier turn of the century but it was still very watchable. I wouldn't say TWC has jumped the shark until 2009 when NBC brought. While we all would love the old weather channel back, it will NEVER come back, so we have to deal with it. As the old saying goes, if you don't like it then don't watch. I really don't watch TWC anymore now, maybe to pop in an LF here and there to hear the playlist during the first week it starts. Other than that, TWC is dead to me. We are just a minority of the audience base of TWC. The average viewer doesn't give a hoot as to what's on TWC, who got laid off, what weird song is on the LF, NBC ownership of the station, etc.
