Fiona is a fierce name, one that I could see being as a fierce storm.

Guys, please wait until either the playlist starts or is released before posting a new playlist topic.  Martin made it very clear that he didn't like how you all were doing this earlier last month:

Ive asked before that topics regarding playlists not be started until after the playlist starts or a playlist has been released
I thought this was discussed already lol..In regards to the August playlist, that really did start on the 3rd of August.

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Earl- Storm Train

Looks like the waters could support a strong hurricane all the way up to Maryland, and possibly north into DE/PA.
Temps are in the mid 70s to low 80s from the Delmarva peninsula to MA, so these warm water temps are enough to support a strong hurricane as it heads closer to the coastline.

We have a block schedule at my school

00 period 7:30 - 8:20: government/economics

A-day
A2 8:30 - 10:15: AP Bio
A3 10:40 - 12:25: World literature

B-day
B2 8:30 - 10:15: Intro to calculus
B3 10:40 - 12:25: Medical technologies

**I don't have an A4 or B4 period, so I get to go home at 12:25 every day!! **
Wow you have a medical technologies class? I wish my school would offer a class that is medical related, besides health. <_<

@Molly Because its WUWA? :wacko:
That's the point, all the WUWA songs like Route 101, Sunshine, Rocky Top, Satin Soul, Green Onions, etc played in the morning dayparts in the future playlists.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Attempt at perspective

I don't get it though. Yeah, I get NBC's idea of firing the older albeit more knowledgable OCMs and replacing them with younger ones (please correct me if I'm wrong), but how is this supposed to reflect their image and people? Most of these new OCMs worked in other news stations so they're personality hasn't changed. I don't really see a difference to be honest. Maria LaRosa looks the same regardless if she was on KY3 in Philly or on TWC. Bryan Norcross is not really 'young', so I guess NBC wanted something with him based on his expertise. It's just my two cents, though. I really don't see this image representing TWC. They just look like any other ordinary OCMs out there.

Tonight, I heard Billy Preston's Outa Space, and BT Express' Express back to back on Music Choice R&B Classics, two songs that played last year in the first couple of weeks of WUWA.
good tunes, not sure why they're not playing on the morning lists.

@ mike, go with a civic. They're fuel efficient and compact sized so parallel parkig and turning would not cause any issues :)

General Discussion / Re: The Front Porch
« on: August 25, 2010, 10:08:55 AM »
Yeah I agree. I almost got struck by lightning last month when I was filming and photographing the severe storms in my area. One of the lightning strikes apparently struck a tree 2 blocks away from my house and during that time, my entire porch shook and I almost lost my balance as a result of this. Mother nature is beautiful but this shows as a warning that she has her risks too.
