Interesting article on TWC music:
http://www.wnyc.org/shows/soundcheck/episodes/2008/01/24/segments/92333

with programmer Brian Picard.

If you listen at 15 out 0f 20 minutes of the radio interview, Brian Picard  says that another smooth jazz cd will be released on the 29th of April.

EDIT: Found it! It's to be released on May 13, 2008 and is called "The Weather Channel Presents Best of Local on the 8s"

That what I was thinking too. From 1-4am, a contionious loop of the satellite lf would appear with normal overnight music playing it's length. The local area's ldl would appear in the bottom too.

I NEVER show anyone my ipod. I still bring it to school but only use it on the school bus on the way home.

About a dozen of the 212 songs in my ipod are 2 minute clips of my favorite unavialbel songs.

A lot of people ask me daily "can I listen to songs in your ipod? What kind of songs do you like? Can I see what songs you have in your Ipod?

It drives me nuts and i blush and get embarrassed. I tell them its jazz and "Eastern" music you wouldn't enjoy. But still I freak out whenever someone sees Weather Channel listed as one of the albums
