Clear skies this evening, with clouds arriving after midnight. Dry and not all that cold as 2008 arrives, with lows around 31 across the Pine Barrens to 38 at the beaches. West winds less than 10mph this evening, shifting to the southeast and increasing to 10-15mph later tonight. - NEW YEARS EVE
New Year's Day:
Mostly cloudy with a few morning showers possible, then becoming partly sunny, windy, and turning colder. Noontime high around 49 degrees, then temps fall back as the afternoon progresses. Wind shift from the south to the west and increase to 10-20mph and gusty.
Wednesday:
Lots of clouds, a few breaks of sun, and perhaps a few snow flurries. Windy and sharply colder with highs only in the mid 30s. Blustery northwest winds 20-30mph with higher gusts creating cold wind chills.
Thursday: Lots of "ineffective" sunshine, windy, and very cold with highs only in the upper 20s. Gusty north winds will keep wind chills even colder.
Friday: Mostly sunny skies, and after a cold start close to 10 degrees around sunrise, a warming trend begins. Highs in the upper 30s to near 40 by afternoon.
Saturday: Partly to mostly sunny with a warm southwest breeze sending temps well into the 40s.
