I'd like a high speed rail here in Florida. It would save the amount of time and gas it takes to drive from Tampa to Orlando.

I am probably in minority here on this board, but I thought it was a well spoken, well articulated, moving, thoughtful speech.  I am very satisfied with Presdient Obama's State of the Union. Those of you who want to nitpick and criticize him will never fully appreciate it.   <_<

Because it's all they got to go on. Healthcare is being rejected by the public, unemployment is at 9.6% and the list goes on.
Just gonna throw this out there... unemployment may be at 9.6%, but the Obama administration created more jobs last year than Bush did in his 8 year term.
If thats true then props to him! I will admit the economy is recovering slowly.I don't disagree with Obama all the time but I don't think he is the greatest thing ever. People get worked up over politics too much.

Right on.
That was necessary?

Yes, because it is fact.  Like I said, President Obama isn't Superman. He can't automatically fix all of our mess in two years.

I ain't exactly thrilled with the democratic party as a whole. Some democrats, particularly progressives, annoy  me. But I'll take their crap and side with them more readily than the republicans. At least they don't want to repeal social security, medicare, and unemployment, and give endless benefits to the corporate elite.   :club:

President Obama isn't Superman. He can't automatically fix our mess in only 25 months. This is like New Orleans after Katrina. There is still a lot of mess, still places that are ravaged. But as a whole, there is optimism. There are signs.

I'm sure it'll be like last year. Good for nothing more than a few laughs. He'll take credit for the hard work of others, blame Bush for his failures, and (more or less) say "screw you" to those who disagree with him.

Tsk, tsk. So President Obama is supposed to praise Bush for putting us in the deep doo-doo we were in, and still struggling to get out of?  <_< He hasn't even talked about Bush in ages. President Obama has gotten through most of his plans in two years, in spite of a venomous, toxic, uncompromising right, and an very feebly supportive left. And he will continue to do so. BTW, the republicans have to step up to the plate now. What plans to they have besides trying to repealing everything that has do to with President Obama?  :dunno:
lol ok

But anyway we shall see Obama do what he does best tomorrow night.... talking. He will say some pretty things about working together and compromise and the usual folks will praise it.

Well we've seen what the republicans do best...talk...and say no to everything. Now that they have the House, what are the republicans going to do? What real plans do they have for jobs and the economy? What will Boehner do besides cry?  :cry3: Don't worry about the President. BTW, he has ALREADY accomplished more in two years than Bush did in EIGHT.
