She Likes to Watch at :08. It has a bad cut, IMO.

For once, the primetime looks promising, at least at first glance.

Playlist looks pretty promising. Good to have the Rippingtons back! She Likes To Watch and Caribbean Breeze are two classics. The Rippingtons haven't been played since 2009, when Brave New World was played. Also glad to have Jay Soto return! Terminal Frost is more a summer song to me, though. Not too excited to hear White Castle Blues either. Other than that, it looks good.

Here's the 1998 lists. They used Trammell Starks exclusively from March to September in 1997 (don't have a list handy). The list provided by TWC for the 1st quarter was missing most of the songs on my list, as well as the 2nd quarter (they removed and added songs in March/April). The George Winston songs only played in late April/May from what I remember.

Thanks a lot Nick!!!    Brings back so many memories. That was when TWC was in the golden age.

Does anyone have any other playlists for 1997 and 1998? I can't find them anywhere else on the internet.  For instance, on twcclassics, only October 1997 and April & July 1998 are available. I recally there were a lot more, even some quarters listed a few years ago. Around that time I was an avid watcher of the Weather Channel, and that is when I really got into smooth jazz in general. I remember a lot of good songs playing then too.

Martin, some of us happen to like PBS.
Sure I like some of the programming too! But when we are facing bankruptcy I think we need to find things to cut. If people enjoy the programming they should contribute rather than having every tax payer contribute to a service only watched by a select few. It only seems fair to me.

I grew up with PBS!!  :cry3: I loved Arthur, Zoom, Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, Thomas the Tank Engine. I obviously have grown out of it, but educational programming is always good for little kids. There are plenty other things that can be cut *cough* military spending *cough*.
