They'll keep Vivian Brown to keep a certain quota, or as a token. Vivian is the only female that *ahem" looks a certain way. I can talk since I share the same complexion with her.
I disagree, they can easily fire her and replace her with a younger, beautiful black woman if they wanted to.
They could do that too to, again, to keep a quota. But besides that, Vivian is one of the last remaining from TWC's "golden era", along with Jim Cantore. I hope they continue to keep Vivian, as long as they keep Jim.

I am not surprised. The Weather Channel has become a glorified reality TV and entertainment station. Just like MTV really doesn't show music videos anymore, TWC hardly shows weather now.

Garbage like Epic Conditions, Weather Ventures, and Peter Lik(which sucks) are things that belong on Travel Channel. NBC is part owner of that channel and should move those dookie stains over there
I see your point there. But my main concern is that they show those programs too much, and especially during hours that weather coverage is really necessary.
It seems that these programs aren't preempted unless there is a tornado or other really serious weather event. I was disgusted when I turned to TWC today, when there actually was severe weather, with warnings in the midwest, TWC went on with its regularly scheduled programming.
Peter Lik is the worst idea TWC has come up with, and that's saying a lot, because there have been several bad ideas since 2008.
