The down? Well, Severe weather can strike in an instant. Since TWC obviously could care less about anything weather these days, then obviously of course they won't utilize the dual feed. That right there, is laziness, just like as I mentioned the LDLs and squeezebacks. the XL can AT LEAST show an LDL during that time, or if they devoted a little time, make a squeezeback, it's capable of doing so, they just have their heads in the clouds working with the new equipment leaving older ones at a disadvantage. I bet the IS will no longer be getting anymore updates, since the IS2 is rolling out. <_<

Plus, I see them advertising Peter Lik tonight. So I doubt they'll preempt tonight either.

The Weather Channel is very inconsistent with severe weather coverage ever since they deveoted themselves to becoming a reality and entertainment channel. Last night, they wisely preempted the regularly scheduled programming when severe weather was heading toward Chicago. At 9pm and 9:30pm, they flat out rushed through the update, even though there is severe weather with multiple reports of tornado damage in Kentucky. The only thing they have is some dinky weather alert below the screen while Twist of Fate is going on.  TWC should realize every one does not have Intellistar, in order to see the LOT8s squeezeback. They just had to show this program tonight, no matter what. They are showing a program about tornadoes, while tornadoes are going on right now!!! Why can't they stop their programming and show us what is happening in Kentucky!!!  :nono: We have to wait until friggin 10pm to get some sort of extended coverage. And it'll only be for 1 hour.  :hammer:

They are very inconsistent with severe weather coverage. Last night, they preempted the regularly scheduled programming when severe weather was heading toward Chicago. Tonight, Paul Goodloe and Dr. Greg Forbes rushed through the update, even though there is severe weather with tornado damage in Kentucky as we speak. All I see is some dinky weather alert below the screen. They wouldn't even bother to interrupt that "Twist of Fate" program, no matter what.  :nono: News flash, TWC, there may be a real life twist of fate going on right now! This is looking like another Flick and a Forecast fiasco again.  :hammer: Why can't they stop their programming now, and show us what is happening in Kentucky!!!

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: 1998 and 1999 playlists

Yeah, I think you're missing a few from 1998. I remembered hearing George Hummingbird and Chris Camozzi sometime in 1998

I remember Chris Camozzi vividly in 1998. Suede, My Dancing Heart, and Swing Shift were used. I think Snap It Tight might have been used too.

My idea: Dump the "Top 5" video segment. That is so pointless. They could take that time and focus on the weather in a specific region, especially if severe weather is present. Let whoever is in the media center do a tease on videos and direct them to weather.com.

I agree with you on that. However, instead of dumping the Top 5, why just make it the top five videos of the week and play it every Friday instead? Otherwise it just loses its meaning and freshness.

Also, why does TWC show all these episodes of Storm Stories, Cantore Stories, etc. over and over again? Is it to save money or do a lot of people actually watch those shows? It also irritates me that they sometimes show the same one several times a day. There was even a tornado warning somewhere in Nebraska and Vivian Brown had to quickly rush the Live Weather Update so It Could Happen Tomorrow could commence. I despise their off-air programming; I watch for the weather and only the weather.

That disgusts me too. There were severe thunderstorm warning all over yesterday, and they didn't even bother to preempt the programming.  <_< I understand if there isn'[t much going on, or if there are just a few thunderstorms. But when there is severe weather all over the place, with warnings, you can't interrupt these precious reruns until the weather clears up? This is so ignorant and arrogant of TWC. They so want to be a reality and entertainment network, that they'll ignore severe thunderstorm warnings in numerous states just to show another crappy rerun of Peter Lik or Storm Stories.  :noexpression:

Well, the surgery is over. It felt surprisingly quick, thanks to the anesthesia. I'm icing my cheeks while watching The Price is Right. The bleeding is really gross, but I hope that goes away soon, So far, not as bad as I thought.

Wow, hope you get well soon.  :hmm:

Currently hearing Ready to play by Nils on Sonictap
that song is depressing
Ready to Play sounds kind of upbeat to me.  :dunno: Anyway, I heard The Thrill is Gone by BB King on Music Choice R&B Classics.
I find that, The Thrill is Gone and the most of the daytime playlist depressing. just listen to the low notes on guitar
The Boney James songs and Sun Sleeper belong on the overnight list.
