That song was part of the September 1996-February 1997 playlist.

Does anyone have that full playlist?

When exactly did Tourcuato Mariano's A Very Special Place play? I definitely remember the tune, and if my memory serves me right, I remember hearing it very early in 97, or maybe late 96. This is one of my favorite TWC songs, BTW.

The only song I can think of with a cat-like sound is Metameme by STS9. Over than that, I have never heard of any song with meows or howling.  :dunno:

That being said I wonder if they'll eventually be all longform all the time, even during hurricanes. I can just imagine the 30-second live updates "A major hurricane is pounding the Atlantic coast, now back to Peter Lik."

That would be unforgivable, and perhaps the one thing that would make me stop watching The Weather Channel for good after almost a quarter century.

The way TWC is going, that is not out of the realm of possibility. I actually cracked up at that Peter Lik line. But the Weather Channel programming seems to be headed towards mostly longform.

Your Local Weather / Re: Tampa Bay Weather
« on: July 15, 2011, 11:27:56 PM »
Something I have noticed about Tampa weather over the years, is that many times during the summer season, it'll be pouring like crazy on one end of the street, and on the other end, it'll be dry as chip. Today, for instance, it was coming down behind University Mall, around 131st and 22nd, yet when you go on Fowler, there was nothing there.  :dunno:

I have seen Georgia plates here in Florida, a few of them from Fulton County. Just over the last couple weeks, I saw a Texas plate and South Carolina plate.  I have even seen Canada license plates here, too.
