I love this jazzy primetime. Haven't heard such music since early 09

I like it too, even though it is kind of random.  :P It continued last night, with daytime and morning music being used in primetime.

Yes, I saw Alex on CNN the other day giving the latest information on Hurricane Irene. Nice to see her on-air again with her new job. :)

I saw her too on Saturday night, I think. I am glad to see her get some work again.

Your Local Weather / Re: Tampa Bay Weather

Even at nighttime, it has been sweltering, thanks to the deep SW wind off the Gulf. The low last night at TIA was 86!   :o I heard that the SW flow has actually been caused by Irene.

Longform: "WAA, WHY AREN'T THEY ON THE AIR???"

Actually covering the situation: "WAA, WHY AREN'T THEY SHOWING THE LF???"

So, you guys are :cry3: either way.

I agree. I don't particularly care for the lack of actual LFs, but in the big scheme of things, it is no big deal. Let's be glad they are actually covering weather for a change, and not doing :30 updates with "Hurricane Irene is bearing down on the Carolinas, now back to Peter Lik (or Twist of Fate)."  :rofl2:

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

And as far as the commercials, I don't think TWC will ever cut them down. It would be nice to go straight from live coverage to the traditional LF, but I think the commercials have to stay. <_<

TWC has to pay the bills.  :P

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense, especially in areas that aren't affected by the hurricane, but could have their own severe weather to deal with. The squeezebar makes much more sense during longform. With hurricanes more severe than Irene, TWC still showed the actual LOT8s.  I don't get why they changed now. :dunno:

Yeah, I heard it was felt throughout the east coast, even in Indiana and Detroit, and as far south as Atlanta.  :o

I doubt it, especially with Irene on the horizon. I think it'll start some time around Labor Day.
