Personally, I didn't see a problem in playing a couple Christmas-associated songs at the beginning of November.  ;) It kind of gets you in the mood for the holiday season. I'm surprised that it apparently created such an uproar that TWC would take it off the playlist, and Eric would tweet about it.  :dunno: I guess some people don't want to be in the holiday spirit yet.
I'm surprised that it only played for one day  until TWC took it off :P
I thought I heard it play for a few days.

Hmm, Home Alone theme not playing until after Thanksgiving?

So there were actually people complaining about the Home Alone theme playing?  I don't get what the big deal is. If that's the case, maybe they ought to remove First Snow from the list too.

General Discussion / Re: R.I.P. Heavy D

one of my favorite artists growing up during the New Jack Swing era of Hip Hop

He was at the forefront of artists along with Run DMC, MC Hammer, Kid n' Play, Vanilla Ice ( :P) and Will Smith, among others, that helped to make rap and hip-hop accessible for the mainstream audience. I vividly remember this classic with Michael Jackson, although I was just a little tike.
Michael Jackson - Jam

R.I.P. Heavy D and Michael Jackson  :(

Holy cow! That came out of nowhere. Then again, he was called "Heavy" D for a reason. Very sad. He also did my favorite version of the In Living Color intro.

You can do what you want to do, In Living Color... He had lost weight though. He was a fairly accomplished actor too, being on several sitcoms and movies. I just heard today he was in Tower Heist with Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller. R.I.P. Dwight Errington Meyers (a.k.a Heavy D).

He was a rapper that was pretty popular in the 80s and 90s. He was known as the "Overweight Lover." He had hits such as "Now That We Found Love", "The Overweight Lover's In The House", "Is It Good To You", and was the rapper on Michael Jackson's song Jam. He was only 44.  :( Here is the story from TMZ:

Rap legend Heavy D -- one of the most influential rappers of the '90s -- died earlier today ... TMZ has learned.

Heavy D -- real name Dwight Arrington Myers -- was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today ... and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old.

We've learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy's Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway .

When help arrived, we're told Heavy D was conscious and speaking -- and was transported to a nearby hospital.

He died a short time later.

Cops are investigating the death -- and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Police are currently at the home.

Heavy D had several massive hits -- including "Now That We Found Love." He also wrote and performed the theme song for "In Living Color" ... and appeared as an actor in the movie "Life."

I was just thinking today, if the Intellistar backup songs continue to play, you might as well include them in the primetime and overnight playlists.  :P
