We shall start a riot! Come on! Imma grab a bunch of Lakers fans and we celebrate in the streets of LA! We'll tip cars over, fight Celtics fans, and do other stuff that we shouldn't be doing!!!

^^I'm kidding.  :bleh:

But yeah, I'm happy they won. I've been following them Lakers since I was little. It's exciting. Can't wait to watch the Victory Parade later this week.

What did not satisfy me was: Kobe Bryant became MVP this year. Sasha Vujacic should have been MVP, not Kobe.

No DJ Mbenga should have been. Seriously Artest and Gasol were the MVPs of Game 7.

Wow, Dave Koz made an appearance on that last episode of Family Matters (and yes, he played some music).

Yeah, that is the episode where Steve is introduced to Myra.

Here is Road to Velno playing via TWC's dual feed if anyone is interested:

TWC Dual Feed Song - Road To Velno - May 23, 2010.wmv

That would be a nice song to bring back.

I don't understand what the uproar is over Heart of Gold. It is a nice, mellow, jazzy song. It is one of the few legitimate smooth jazz songs on the playlist.

In 10 days, it'll be three months that this playlist has continued.

I heard Barry White's "Let the Music Play" on the Music Choice R&B Classics channel a few days ago.

It's sad today is not soon  :pinch:

If it were to change today, or some other day, it will likely change during the primetime.  It seems that the primetime is the time when the new playlists debut, judging by the recent track record.

I wish the June playlist starts already. I'm getting tired of playlists ending and starting late and then continues as a crappy bimonthly playlist, which gets boring after a while. It's not the same anymore with playlists starting on the first day of the month (last time they did this was March 2009 playlist). This is the reasons why TWC needs to go back to monthly playlists and never do any crappy bimonthly playlists again :hammer: :club:. Overall, this year's playlists are horrible (all of them are bimonthly).

* Felix wish that the next playlist starts.
I feel for ya, and the lack of smooth jazz and the repeats. Maybe when the HD Star comes out, music will be a priority for them once again.

Yeah, it seems this current playlist will never end. I don't think we'll see monthy playlists again.  :cry3: TWC has become very unpredictible, if not erratic with their playlists. In fact, I'll say that TWC has become reckless with their music. The new playlist could begin next week, but I would not be surprised if the playlist may not begin until mid-June, if even that soon.  :(  Also, the repeats and reduced smooth jazz is gettin really annoying. It has been a year since TWC came up with the bright idea to change their music format, and I am not satisfied with the change at all.  :club: It seems TWC is completely averse to playing smooth jazz in the morning, and especially the primetime. In the primetime, all we hear is crappy soundtrack music, and dinky soft rock.  What makes it worse is that primetime is the longest daypart!!!!!!  If TWC knows what's good for them, they'll overhaul this new format, and play smooth jazz regularly and predominantly again.
Why don't you write a kind letter to them? This can certainly help

If the June/July playlist is subpar or worse, I just might do that.

I got an email saying it should be starting soon. However I wonder how soon soon is :P
Soon could be tomorrow or two weeks from now with how things have gone lately. :P  Let's hope this long delay means a really good playlist is being prepared!

I agree. It would not shock me either way if the playlist changes today or towards the end of June. It is going into three months that this playlist has carried on. It is not that good to be playing for that long.

Yes, I finally found the original version! I remember when this version of Swing Shift played on TWC in 1998, but at the same time, all I heard on radio was the remixed version. The original version is so much better. Didn't Swing Shift also play sometime in 2000, also?

Programming and Graphics / Re: "Flick > Forecast"
« on: June 02, 2010, 09:58:22 AM »
I never liked "Flick and a Forecast". I just wish The Weather Channel would actually report the weather continously like they used to instead of playing the same episodes of Storm Stories and When Weather Changed History hours a day.

I'm being optimistic, but if this hurricane season turns out to be anything close to active as 2005 or 2004 like I believe it will be, we might see a lot of that put on the back burner. I'm hoping we'll get that side of TWC back, they were always at their best doing hurricane coverage.
I am ready for a storm alert!

Flick and a Forecast is the ultimate Jump the Shark Moment for TWC. I just read on AOL that a lot of people, including Jim Cantore, are upset about TWC seemingly concerned about entertainment nowadays.  Dish Network treatened to remove TWC from their programming because actual weather has become an afterthought. I wonder if Gilligan's Island is going to show on TWC next, since it is "weather-related", though that would be kind of fun  :P.  I sure hope not, but it would not shock me to see TWC continue to air F&F on Friday, while a hurricane or tropical storm is affecting the US.
