I just had to make this 



The background image is from a traffic cam found on the Connecticut's DOT website. The image of Falco was photoshopped out of a biography book cover. The line "It's getting weird" references to a lyric from Falco's song "Männer des Westens - Any Kind of Land".

Even though I personally believe that The Weather Channel's idea of naming winter storms still sounds ridiculous, it sometimes has its funny moments.

Vocal Local returns to the IntelliSTAR- December 17, 2013

I was shocked to hear that Vocal Local had returned when I saw an LF this morning. What was even more surprising was the return of the weather sound effects!

A very sad day around the globe. Former South African president Nelson Mandela has passed away at the age of 95. 

This man has done so much for his country, including overthrowing the apartheid regime, and also becoming his country's first black president. He also has inspired so many people not only in South Africa but around the world as well. He will surely be missed.

In addition to the cold, my area could see snow tonight.    It's quite rare for the WA/OR coast to see the white stuff, although a few years ago when I was vacationing in the area, I saw a dusting of snow on the beach.

Happy Thanksgiving!    Think I'm gonna call it a day after watching football and stuffing my face with food. Overall, I'd say it wasn't too bad of a Thanksgiving in my neck of the woods, although I may have eaten a little too much food that it made my stomach ill for a while. 

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow.    Normally, I'm not a Black Friday person    because I always avoid the nasty crowds. Usually I'll wait until about a week or two afterward to get my Christmas shopping done.
