I briefly saw an IntelliSTAR 2 on TV earlier today in Longview, WA while waiting inside a local Jiffy Lube to get my vehicle's oil changed. I didn't see an actual LF though, just the LDL during 'Weather Center Live'. Like many other Xfinity headends, this was a letterboxed Weather Channel HD feed simulcast on SD channel 47.

That's funny because I myself saw TWC's maps on 'CBS Evening News' a couple of days ago when someone (not from TWC) was doing a weather report on the severe weather.

I've noticed during the past few weeks or so that Chris Warren hasn't been on WXGeeks since its earlier episodes, although I could be wrong since I've only seen about a few seconds of the show from time to time. I'm guessing he was let go from the show because of his annoying habit of constantly interrupting other people mid-sentence?

Pretty nice day here in southwest Washington and northwest Oregon today. It was warmer down in Beaverton, OR (where I was earlier today) where the high temp reached about 80º. Man, did I miss the heat!

Earlier this afternoon, I heard "Eminence Front" by The Who, followed by "Layla" by Derek & The Dominoes, on 102.3 KCRX-FM. Part of the ending of 'Eminence' was interrupted by a quick EAS test, but I didn't mind the interruption at all.
