Okay kiddies, I just ordered the Pinnacle PCTV HD USB 2.0 Stick 23049 from Amazon. You can expect to see HD TWC clips from me in the near future, if this USB stick picks all of up the digital channels (including TWC in HD) on my limited basic cable service from Charter

I prefer the Pinnacle anyway. If it works okay with Zach, I'll consider this brand myself. Plus it's cheaper than the WinTV one anyway, fitting well within my budget. I'll let you guys know when I do order it, but it might be a while because I'm just in thoughts about doing so.

I was unable to find a tuner box for my DVD recorder, but I did find this for my PC:

For the first time ever, I now have the HD TWC channel!   

I bought a Vizio 19" HD TV on Saturday and a couple of guys from Charter were fixing the cable line earlier today so I could get cable TV in the master bedroom. With my new TV, I get more channels (even some HD ones, courtesy of the QAM installed on the TV) than the SD TV I currently have in my living room.

So far, Charter has not yet installed the IS2 unit for Astoria so all I get now is the HD satellite LF.

Here's my question: Is there some kind of QAM tuner box I could purchase from Amazon or any store to use and connect my cable coax to, then to my DVD recorder in my living room so I can record the HD TWC channel someday? My DVD recorder does not have any coax jacks, only A/V jacks. Anyone have any advice on this situation?

Here's another Simpsons scene I remember. Bart is with his class on a field trip at the police station, when he connects multiple megaphones and says "Testing" into the line of megaphones, sending a massive sonic feedback shockwave across Springfield. That one was also hilarious

TWC needs ratings and money to go forward as they're a private-sector company.  They're going to appeal to the mass majority, which unfortunately don't care much about learning how the weather works and what's going on most of the time.  Some people are entertained to see all those long-form shows.  Blame society more than TWC here for not wanting to explore and understand about meteorology more.

Complaining about TWC more will just add more fuel to the fire. It's best to just live with whatever TWC throws at us when it comes to programming. Please no more complaining, mmkay? 

Or just don't watch TWC anymore altogether.
