Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Like/Dislike Button?
« on: July 09, 2010, 11:12:15 AM »
I don't know if this is possible, because I am not that familiar with forums, but I thought I would throw this out there.

Say you agree with someone's post...so you post ANOTHER post saying "I agree "....well, instead of wasting forum space like that, add a like/dislike button below someone's post. Kindof like Facebook....If you agree, click LIKE, if you don't agree, click DISLIKE.

Thanks for looking into this!

Ok, so let me get this staight. The "Like" button on Facebook is there for an OBVIOUS reason. How can people "Like" The Weather Channels page and yet still manage to spew drama like a broken sprinkler? I'm kind of getting tired of it and I'm about to give a few ignorant tards a lesson of their own, :P

Someone's status on FB...  :rofl2:

I am currently not recieving any SD channels, with the exception of locals. I am having to watch TWC HD, and I want my local data.  :censored: No Weatherscan, no IntelliSTAR.  Great job, Comcast!   :club:

EDIT: I am recieving 2 SD channels that are not local. But still no WxScan or ISTAR.

Local Forecast / Re: General LF Discussion

Wow, this is a FIRST!!
Our 3 cities on our LDL are Memphis, Germantown, and Horn Lake.

I asked the STAR Team to change Germantown to West Memphis, and Horn Lake to Southaven. They made the changes that I wanted, but we still have Germantown on our LDL! Yes, that's right, we now have 4 CITIES on our LDL!!

This past year, we had a 7 day forecast up in our room, with velcro icons and temperatures, and we had a class meterologist (which was me  :whistling:) who looked up the forecast and arranged the 7 day forecast. I don't know if that would work with your younger group, though.

That sounds a little young for your age, Trevor. But it's also a bit too old for a preschool, most likely. Could be a way to teach a little number identification. I'd give the age group for that as 6-9. Before, it's almost impossible to them. After, it's just stupid to them.

I meant the year before last (4th grade)  :bleh:

On the LDL, the 3 cities are MEMPHIS, GERMANTOWN, and HORN LAKE.

I would reccommend the largest town from the 3 metro counties. With that being said, these are my suggestions...

Shelby County, TN - Keep MEMPHIS as the main observation site.
DeSoto County, MS - Change HORN LAKE to SOUTHAVEN, as Southaven is the largest city in the county.
Crittenden County, AR - Change GERMANTOWN (Shelby) to WEST MEMPHIS (Crittenden)

This spreads out the cities a tad bit more. Thank you for your understanding!
