For instance, there will be a revamping of the forecasts known as “Local on the 8s,” Mr. Clark said, and a customization of coverage so that while viewers in markets affected by severe local weather are watching coverage of that news, viewers in other, unaffected markets will be able to continue watching regular programming.

Simply put, the "dual feed."

Whatever happened to it? Did they cancel the dual feed, because I remember them airing the feed earlier in 2010.

IIRC, the dual-feed was discontinued when the live weather updates were introduced.

I play the current iOS version. If I'm not mistaken, it's pretty similar to the Facebook version. One major difference is that sharing and your FB contacts are emphasized (obviously), and that there are only 5 question per game. Cookie is the host.

Happy Endings

My sister and I were watching the same thing yesterday. It was our first time watching it. We already love the show. Too bad it doesn't have much of a chance at survival when it comes to ratings. Not to mention ABC gave it the Friday night death slot. :/

Right now, I'm watching How I Met Your Mother.

Last night was the first time I've seen it, it's a funny show imo, but it seems to be one of those underdog shows that's having a really hard time gaining steam. From what I've read ABC is very invested in this show, but the move to Fri nights is a little suspicious unless they think it has a better chance to build up an audience w/o too much competition compared to any other night in the work week.

EDIT: Come to think of it, this show would probably fit better on a cable network than on a major network if it's averaging 3 mil. viewers. Maybe TBS or Comedy Central? TBS picked up Cougartown from ABC after it got cancelled just like TNT picked up Southland after NBC canned it. It could happen.

I've heard that suggestion being thrown around, but I'm not sure that TBS would want to pick it up, since it would make them look like a dumping ground for failed ABC sitcoms. For the sake of the fans, I hope it gets picked up somewhere.

Another thing is, many people here aren't as interested in TWC and/or the weather in general, enough to actually be active here. I'm here because you guys are my friends and I wouldn't leave you all just because.This was my first forum, and I learned a lot about foruming before I ventured out to other forums.

I'm off for Spring Break for the rest of this week, and all next week. Maybe I can help out in making this place lively and active again, yeah?

Same here. I'm hardly interested in TWC as I was when I first joined, nor am I all that into weather. I'm mainly here for discussion of other things, and because I've already made friends here.

Alex, your posts about the vocal music are starting to become rather repetitive.  I think you need to move on to other points.  TWC has already made up their mind on what they will do, and constantly talking about it won't help matters.

Patrick, I'm not the only member that is not watching TWC anymore because of their vocal music, and most of my post haven't been repetitive they have been showing all sorts of reasons their current direction stinks.

if you don't like the way i post I'm sorry but my views are my own and you don't have to agree with them.

now back on topic here's what Grist had to say about Hacking the Planet

I'll have to a agree with Patrick. It seems like you're always complaining about TWC and their vocal music. It's been very repetitive, and I think it's time to move on, honestly.
