General Discussion / Another work of Stephen Arnold!
« on: October 21, 2011, 03:25:04 AM »
Turns out, Stephen Arnold is still making music!

One of his latest works is the music for CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront. I like it. :)

I'm not that tech savvy on technical specs., but mine is 1TB, I looked it up and apparently that equals 1,024 GB. Is that right?  :dunno:
It depends on whether it's measuring with the base-10 or base-2 system. With the base-2 system (which Windows uses), 1,024 would be correct, but with the base-10 one, one TB would be 1,000 GB.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I see only one logo on the national-feed SD LDL.
The IS LDL logo is there too, hence the reflection. The blue expanse to the top and right of the logo is the SD sat logo.

Well... the question is almost answered...

If you look closely, you can see that the second TV from the left on the top row has an IS2, fwiw. The one to to the left of that is the SD sat feed.

At about 6:33 AM CT, the pre-commercial teaser graphic accidentally cued over the game forecast for a split second.

So it looks like the "Live Weather Update" has been re-named to "Weather NOW," at least it was between WCL and ICHT last night.
Yeah, I noticed that over the weekend..
That Weather NOW opener for the LWU has already been used intermittently since last month.

When Scott was at the DMC, he was trying to show a low pressure system, but IE was stuck at the New Tab page, so Scott said "We need a better internet connection."

Right after, Steph and Mike got sidetracked by Steph's iPad.

I also like the TruVu Max radar and titlebars, but they really ruined the Weekly Planner with it.

So far, it seems like the consensus is the WV graphics. Not too surprising.

Now that 2011 is not far from its close and I couldn't wait much long to make this thread, I thought it would be a good idea to ask: what were the best graphics unbanked so far this year? My personal favorite would be the SD sat LF, followed by the WV graphics package.

If there are more released later in the year, I'll add them.

I can't recall if this has been asked before, but does the IS2 display a record high/low screen?
It does, but it's quite rare. It's called Climate Data. It has the average and record highs/lows, not to mention pixie dust. :P
It doesn't. Here, we had a record high tied the other day and no record screen was displayed.
No, what he means is theres a screen called Climate Data on the IS2, however, no one sees it due to the factor that its not programmed into any of the mainstream product playlists.. the only time it may get shown is if theres an outage with products and is being used for filler replacement on the products being affected by an outage
Oh, I misintrepreted. I thought the record high/low screen was referring to the equivalent of the bottom portion of the IS's Almanac screen. As for that separate product that GTAIVman was referring to, I have yet to see it.
