Though it's an NBCUniversal station and has probably happened before, it was interesting and just a little different to see TWC advertising a show on E! for their LOT8s bumper. In May or June they were advertising Necessary Roughness (from USA) on the white bottom bar.
Nope, the first and only time I saw it last year, it was at 120. Either way, it does vary by location, similar to the Heat Advisory criteria at the NWS. I would think that since Pavel was in Chicago, 100 would be nothing compared to the forecasted 110 heat index reading today. Then again, maybe it was manually triggered due to their Excessive Heat Warning. There's still an excessive heat warning in effect, so I'm guessing that's why. The HST screen only shows up on 2:00 LFs, though.

This playlist is a big step in the right direction, and I like many of the songs this month. Jane Eyre and Proposed Solution are two of my all-time favorites . Now, if only they could banish those vocals from the local forecasts (or what's left of them), especially Lady Gaga's songs .The 2:00 LFs were never discontinued on YWT or WUWA.
TWC seems to be on the way up from a very low bottom. The music has been better from June onward, and other aspects of the precipitous decline have stabilized. They're still close to rock bottom and have a long way to go, but at least they're starting to move in the right direction. The only two songs that I've actually liked this entire year so far are Running Out of Time by Matthew Shuman (Apr 2012) and Deluge by Jeff Pearce (Jun 2012).
EDIT: I think the 2-minute flavors are back in the morning hours at least? Zach's clip was a 2 minute LF. It's the first I've seen of them since 90-second flavors became the longest flavor in late May.
Just to bring up this crazy thing I just saw on the LDL. HiRAD is reporting Medford, NY with a thunderstorm right now, when there is clearly nothing on the radar. That's been happening a lot on my IS lately. The first time I saw it happening, the LDL stayed on for more than a day. When it was supposed to be on, there would appear to be two "lights" under the yellow city bar.
EDIT: It appears the LDL is stuck on 2 days ago! The forecast on the LDL called for 73°F with a 100% chance of Thunderstorms, which was the forecast for 6/25/12! The LDL is still on during the commercial breaks. The forecast on the LDL also includes a forecast for Tuesday, which already happened!!!Deja Vu
